"Have fun baby!" Nai smiled widely, waving off Lani. She was already cussing Ran out for dragging her away.
Rindou cleared his throat, "You uh...you look gorgeous."
Nai's mind was circling. She felt guilty for recent events. After the talk with Lani, she wanted to follow her heart.
"And you look very handsome, jellyfish." Nai winked. She slipped her hand into Rindou's and he brought it up to his lips.
"You're lucky. You're the only person to get away with calling me that," Rindou jokes.
Nai rolled her eyes playfully, "Pffft, I'm the only one allowed."
He wore a tan Balenciaga suit with a blue collared shirt underneath. The buttons were undone displaying the three necklaces laying on his bare chest. His signature silver earring glittered like his Rolex peeking from under his sleeve.
"Mr Haitani, Mrs. Haitani, your private area is available for you."
Nai stared up at Rindou's flushed face. "Did I miss something? When did you propose?" Nai teased, tilting her head. She adored his flustered expression.
"I-I... shut up," Rindou said. I'll kill Ran.
"Right this way please."
Nai giggled, behind the waitress with her hand in the crease of Rindous' arm.
Rindou and Nai entered the private area that looked out onto the beach. Nai gaped at the scenery. Rose petals littered the table beneath a multitude of candles. The petals continued down the stairs and into the sand. They formed a huge heart outlined with more candles. Nai covered her mouth and tears swelled at the corner of her eyes.
"This is..." Nai paused, she took a step closer to Rindou. He leaned down so their foreheads touched. "I've never had this before...I...I love it."
Rindou put his hand on her hip. "Everything you see is all for you," he whispered.
He held out his hand as the violinists began to play the melody to 'Love Story'. Rindou and Nai reached the table just as the refrain started.
"Madame, Monsieur, would you like to start with an appetizer or maybe something to drink?" The waiter asked.
"I'll have the spicy edamame and the crispy rice tuna tartare. Oh, and for my entree I'll have the rock shrimp and the grilled lamb. What about you Nai?"
Nai hummed for a few seconds. "I'll take the Wagyu beef and rice, medium well." She smiled, handing him the menu. The waiter bowed his head, "I'll make sure everything is at its finest."
"Thank you so much." He tipped his glass to the waiter and took a sip of his champagne.
"Did you set this up yourself?"
Rindou sat his glass on the table and turned his attention to Nai. "For the most part. It took some time. Do you like it?"
Nai smirked a bit. "Like it? It's beautiful, you didn't have to go all out," she said.
Rindou scoffed, perking up his eyebrow. "You've yet to see what all out is for me. Stick around. I may show you."
Nai snorted up a small laugh. "Oh really?"
"Yeah if you behave."
"Beha— So what am I a puppy now?"
Rindou tilted the glass to her. "Puppies are less complicated."
Nai cleared her throat and set down her glass. "Rin," she started, Rindou gave her his full attention as she spoke. "I wanted to...apologize to you."
God...why is this so hard all of a sudden?
