Chapter 74 "Cheer up baby pt2"

Stepping into the spa, the girls were enchanted by the tranquil surroundings and the beautiful decor gracing the nail shop. Noticing the absence of anyone, Lani called out, "Hello?" but the peaceful atmosphere remained undisturbed, with no response echoing back. Which was very strange.

"Where the fuck are they?"

"I guess no one's here yet," Nai remarked as she spotted two glasses of champagne and a note on the front desk. "I suppose this is for us?" She smiled, picking up one glass, while Lani grabbed the other. They clinked their glasses together before taking a sip. After finishing, Lani examined the letter and read it aloud.

"Oooo, that was a good one," Nai giggles, taking another sip of her drink.

"Seems like whoever left this wants us to freshen up a little before our special date," Lani said, scanning the note for any other hints. "Maybe a quick shower and change of clothes is in order before we get pampered?"

"Mhm-hm I agree, I wanna wash the salty ass beach smell off of me," Nai chimed in.

They ventured further into the salon, their curiosity piqued. Eventually, they stumbled upon the bathrooms, where they eagerly indulged in a much-needed shower and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. After thoroughly enjoying their spa experience, they emerged, their hair still damp, only to find the massage chairs awaiting them. Below, the water was already bubbling, ready for their pedicure session.

Taking a moment to admire themselves in the mirror, the girls twirled in their beautiful sundresses, Nai in a radiant sunflower dress and Lani in a charming strawberry-print two-piece skirt set. "Whoever picked these out knows what the fuck we like," they mused aloud, appreciating the thoughtfulness of their attire.

"Right! I'm obsessed with this dress!"

As they settled into their seats, a voice broke the silence, "Nice of you to finally join us."

Takeomi strolled around the corner, a cigarette dangling from his lips, followed swiftly by two women lugging equipment. He grinned, exhaling a cloud of smoke.

"I thought you guys would never get here," he chuckled.

"We were waiting on you," Nai retorted, watching as the women began setting up shop near their feet for the pedicures.

"Don't smoke in here, have some decency," Mikey interjected, his tone calm but firm, as he inched closer. Lani's heart skipped a beat as their eyes briefly met before she quickly looked away, reaching for her mimosa on the nearby tray.

"Fuuuuuckkkk I wasn't ready," she murmured.

Taking a sip to steady herself, Lani calmed her nerves but Mikey couldn't help but notice her reaction when she wasn't looking at him.

"I——I didn't know you were going to be here too," she managed to say.

"Well, surprise," he replied with a smile, taking a seat by the chair and examining her nails as he propped her arm up on a small pillow.

"I wanted to make sure your nails were done right."

"Mhm, is that so?"

"Mhm-hm, you know I like to keep my girl's nails looking right." Mikey couldn't seem to take his eyes off Lani, who grew increasingly nervous as he attempted to kiss her palm before she pulled it back, smiling nervously.
