Chapter 14 "Alexa! Play shoot out by Monsta X."

"Shit, well that was a good time right?" Ran chuckles, stroking his fingers through Lani's hair as she lay in his lap. He leans over the armrest of the couch, putting out his cigarette in the ashtray.

She didn't know what got into her. Fuck I can't let him know how amazing that shit was. She thought to herself. Lani got up from the couch pulling down her dress, "Mhm shut up." She groans.

Ran reaches up, gripping Lani's hips. "Hold on now." He chuckles, pulling her back down on his lap. She plops down on him, trying to break free from his grasp.

"Come on Ran I just wanna get some w——"

"Here. This is what you want right?" He smirks, shaking a bottle of water near her face before planting another kiss on her cheek.

Lani stares at the water before taking it. Her face slowly heats up, trying to avoid his gaze. She wished he would go back to being his dickhead self, instead of him being sweet like this. It was truly fucking with her mental. "Thank you." 

"Mhm-hm." Ran hums, tilting his head back to drink his water. Lani was mesmerized by the way his Addams apple bobbed up and down as he drank. Her eyes trailed down his neck to the tattoo on his chest, as he sat there with his shirt open."Why are you all quiet now?" He teased, looking down at her.

"Huh?! What are you talking about Dumbass." She snapped, trying to hide another blush creeping across her face. This damn idiot.

"I'm just saying, the way you took control was pretty hot, but it's not like I wasn't gonna turn you around and pin your ass down. You're so cute." He whispers, gripping her chin, licking the tiny spot behind her earlobe.

"Raaan!" She whines, trying to hold back a laugh as he pulls her in closer.

"Come on baby, what did you say earlier? I was your favorite? Hm? Was that it?" He teases tickling her.

"When I say that?!!" She laughed. They were enjoying this moment. He wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in for another kiss. The sound of her laugh was his favorite, but he loved her lips on his more. It made his heart race.

Maybe...just maybe. ..Lani thought.

The sound of gunshots echoing outside the room caused Lani to pause. She frees herself from his grip, sliding off his lap. Ran jerked his head back over to the door, making sure he heard what he heard correctly. "Ran? What was that———"

She put her hands over her mouth. Frightened by the screams from outside. "Oh hell fucking no," Ran growled, quickly jumping off the couch. He pulled up his pants, tightening his belt before taking off. Lani watched him storm his way over to a safe he had in the room, hidden behind a picture frame.

Fuck, this can't be happening right now! Ran screamed in his mind.

"Ran? What's going on?" She frantically asks, taking a step over towards the window of the club.

"Stop! Stay away from over there!" He yells, pointing in her direction. His tone was stern and authoritative, a side she had yet to see from him.  Ran knew exactly what was going on and didn't need her seeing that. "Don't go near that window, Lani."

She stopped in her tracks looking over to Ran in concern, her heart was racing. She knew it was serious. She slowly backed away from the window, heeding his warning.

Ran quickly punched in a quick pin before opening up the safe. He pulls out an AA12 Atchisson Assault Shotgun attaching the clip to it. There was no way he was about to let them shoot up his club tonight.
