We're so backkkkkk!!!!!!!!!🎉🍾
Author's Note
Hey everyone 💛
First off, thank you so much for sticking with me through this journey even during the quiet moments. For those who don't know, I've been writing this story since 2021, and sometimes, I just need to step back and take a little mental breather. These characters mean the world to me, and I'm so grateful that they've come to mean something to you too.
I'm still continuing the story (don't worry!), but just a heads-up that chapters might come out a bit slower at times while I take care of myself along the way. I really hope you'll keep walking this path with me there's still so much more in store, and some fun, wild, and emotional things are coming soon 👀
Thank you for all the love, the comments, and just for reading. I appreciate you more than you know. I hope you enjoy the new chapter! 💫
love,
Chifuyuzkizz

The party shifted. It carried a tense charge, weaving it through the air like the static before a violent storm. Wakasa's eyes locked with Takeomi's. Without hesitation, he turned sharply on his heels, his movements taut with barely contained fury. He didn't need to speak. He didn't look back, didn't even fucking bother waiting for Takeomi to follow. His silence screamed louder than any outburst could as he pushed through the crowd, shoulders tense, fists clenched. His anger was a force all its own, propelling him forward.
The crowd stirred, ripples of unease spreading as whispers faded into quiet curiosity. Attention drifted toward the stage, where the pulse of the party seemed to slow, every sound dulled as if the air itself held its breath.
And then—Mikey's voice cut through it all.
"Well, well, well..." The speakers hummed as his words slithered into the atmosphere. Smooth, mocking, drawn out like he was savoring each syllable. He adjusted the microphone, a lazy grin spreading across his face as he took a step down from the stage.
"Look who decided to show up?" Amusement curled around his words like black smoke. "And on such a special day."
Everyone stood in stunned silence, unsure whether to laugh, clap, or continue to stare as Mikey scanned the yard. Whatever he had planned, it was clear he was savoring every moment for this confrontation.
Baji's eyes narrowed. Something was off.
"The fuck is this?" he muttered, irritation flickering behind his stare as Mikey staggered forward, the scent of liquor clinging to him.
"Special day?" He thought to himself. What the fuck was going on? Why did those words feel like a trap, almost like he was waiting for something to snap?
And then... it clicked.
Kazutora felt the blood drain from his face. His breath hitched, panic creeping in fast, sharp, and suffocating. Without thinking, he took a small step back, sinking into the doorway behind Baji, his body instinctively seeking escape. His fingers twitched at his sides, his chest tightening as his mind raced— he shouldn't be here. Not today. Not for this.
"Oh, Whaat? Did you forget it's the anniversary? Or maybe you were hoping I would." Mikey smirked.
Chifuyu was at Kazutora's side in an instant. His hand found his wrist first, then slid down to lace their fingers together, his grip firm. "What kinda bullshit are you tryna pull right now?"
