(This will be 2 parts and long so get ready for the ride because there going to be a lot of feels and quotes and such)
(Stiles POV)
"Malia you're being ridiculous."
We were fighting, once again. It's all we ever do. Fight after fight after fight. I'm so sick of it, I'm so sick of her! She gets mad about everything and then takes it out physically on me. She says that's just her way of showing love. Yeah right. Being abusive is no way to show love.
"Stiles just shut up. Your opinions are wrong, like always." Malia said. "Idiot" she muttered under her breath. She hurts me with and without words. I began to wonder where the love was in this relationship.
"What are you mad about this time?"
She scoffed. "As if you don't know."
I sighed, I was so done with this.
"Actually Malia, I don't know."
She growled. "You had your windows locked last night. How did you expect me to get in?"
"I didn't expect you to get in. You have your own house with your dad who lost you 8 years ago! Go live with him and stop crashing at my house whenever you want. My family has enough problems to deal with, and we certainly don't need to be paying extra for unwanted guests!"
Malia clenched her jaw. "You're so mean Stiles!"
"Oh you want to talk mean? I'll tell you what's mean. You. You Malia Tate are mean, and a horrible girlfriend. You're abusive verbally and physically, you'd ditch my friends in a heartbeat, and you get mad at everything! And I don't want-" I stoped. Should I say it?
"You don't what?" She asked, backing off a bit.
"I don't want...to continue our relationship."
"WHAT?!"
I flinched as she hit me on the shoulder.
"You can't leave me, I have nothing!"
"Really Malia? You have a home, a dad, clothes, a school, food, and pretty much everything a teenager needs. But what you don't have is the ability to control me anymore. I'm done being your punching bag. This relationship is trash and we're holding on to something that we never should have grasped in the first place. I'm not an object. You can't treat me like I'm nothing anymore. I'm more than that. I've seen this kind of relationship before. They're abusive and don't even realize it. And they're partner, is too scared to speak up. But not anymore. Goodbye Malia. I'm done. Correction, we're done." With that, I stormed away and ran to my jeep. I blinked back tears. Why did love have to be so cruel? I picked up my phone. I needed someone. Someone who I knew would always be there for me, to make me laugh even when my heart was in two. I dialed their number and heard it ring. Finally, they picked up.
"Stiles?"
I wiped my eyes.
"Hey Lydia."
(Lydia POV)
I could tell he was upset.
"What's wrong?"
I heard him chuckle through the phone.
"Worst make you think something's wrong?"
I signed.
"I know you Stiles. And if you don't tell me, I'm going to get up, drive to your house and tickle you until you tell me."
He laughed again.
"Alright alright. But save your gas, I'm on my way to your house now."
...
I saw his blue jeep pull into my driveway. His eyes seemed red. I ran to my door and opened it for him. The sun was going to be setting soon, creating the perfect mood for this year stained boy. As soon as he got to my doorstep, I flung my arms around him. Just like he did when I was told Meredith died. I could just tell by his eyes that he needed a hug. That's one thing I loved about our friendship. We may not always know what's going on with each other, but we always know how to fix it.
He stumbled back, but then buried his face into the crook of my neck. I rubbed his back and hugged him tighter. When we let go, he looked down, seemingly embarrassed.
"Sorry, I just kinda broke down for a second."
"You don't have to apologize. But you do have to tell me what's wrong."
He sighed.
"Okay. I will. But first I need you to cheer me up. I don't care how, but I just need something."
I smiled.
"Follow me, I know exactly what we're going to do."
I drafted him to my car with an idea forming in my head.
"Where are we going?" He asked.
"Ok an adventure."
...
20 minutes later, we arrive at the Beacon Hills community center.
"What are we doing here?"
I sighed, about to tell an embarrassing secret.
"My dad owns this place."
Stiles frowned."what does that have to do with our adventure?"
"Well before by the owners daughter, I get to come here, anything I want...for free."
...
I grabbed his hand and took him up the flight of stairs leading to the roof. Once we got there, I got the towel and chairs I had store up there.
"I used to come up here and watch the sunset when my dad was here late. I did it so often, I felt it was necessary to accessorize. "
We set up the chairs and put them on top of the towel. The sun was just starting to set.
"Alright, now spill."
Stiles sighed.
"Ok. Malia and I broke up."
For some reason, this made me happy. I tried not to smile.
"Really?"
He nodded.
"Yeah. We just were not working out....at all."
I reached over and rubbed his hand.
"I'm sorry."
He smiled.
"Don't be. You were one of the reasons I realized I should break up with her. I felt like my relationship with Malia was just a repeat of you and Jackson. And I hated you guys together. "
"Because he hurt me?"
"Because he took you from me."
I blushed.
"Well, I think you're really brave for ending it with her. Those things are never easy." I told him.
He leaned over his armrest so he could face me.
"You're being so nice to me...why is that?"
I shrugged.
"I guess I just know what you're going through."
"How would you know. Nobody could ever break the heart of little miss Lydia Martin." Stiles joked.
I sighed.
"Yeah that's what people think, don't they."
He stopped smiling. "What?"
"Right before you called, I was in the phone with Jackson. He squad he just wanted to let me know how supposedly amazing his life in Paris is and how he got a new "super model" girlfriend. What a sweetheart that kid is"
Stiles was quiet for a moment.
"Oh, I didn't know."
I could suddenly feel tears in my eyes.
"Well yeah, of course you didn't know. Nobody ever knows. They all think I've got my life all put together, but on the inside, I'm the one falling apart."
Stiles scooted his chair closer to mine.
"A little while ago, you said we were going on an adventure. Let's not let stupid Jackson or stupid Malia stop us from doing that. Now let's dry our tears, have some fun, and mend these pesky broken hearts of ours, sound good?"
I wiped my cheeks and laughed.
"Let's do this Lydia. Let's go show the world that they haven't seen the best of us yet."
I smiled and nodded at him. That little fire in his heart was contagious.
"You're right. And if it's you and me against the world, then so be it."~~~~
