"ALLISON!"
I screamed. I screamed as loud as I could. No, she couldn't be gone. Not her. My best friend. I broke down crying, clinging onto an unconscious Stiles. "She's gone." I sobbed into his chest. "She's really gone." I say there, sobbing hysterically into Stiles chest for about 10 minutes before he woke up. "Lyds? What....what happened? What's wrong? Are you okay?" I sat up and leaned against the other side of the tunnel. It was a narrow tunnel so our legs tangled together. I wiped my tears. "Actually...no. I'm not okay. I'm anything but okay." Stiles looked at me, his eyes full of worry. "What's wrong?" I met his gaze. Should I tell him? No, not now. He was weak and already in enough pain. I managed a smile. "Don't worry about me Stiles. Let's get you out of here." I helped him up and we walked out. Stiles leaned against me for help. I held him up until we were free from the tunnel. He leaned against the wall. "Oh god. I'm so glad that's over bec..." I cut him off by tackling him in a hug. I clung onto him for dear life. Partly because he was okay, finally okay, and partly because I needed comfort. My Allison, my beautiful Allison, dead. That thought made me hug him tighter. Stiles froze for a moment, then squeezed me back hard. I let out a little gasp. He was strong, stronger than I thought. "I'm so glad you're okay." I whispered. He pulled back, but we remained in each other's arms. "Yeah Lyds. I'm okay. We're all okay." I shook my head and looked down. "Not all of us." Stiles furrowed his brow. "What do you mean?" I looked up. Tears fell down, leaving black trails of mascara. "Allison" I whispered. "Allison's dead." Stiles let out a breath I didn't know he was holding. "Oh Lyds" he breathed. I began to sob hysterically. Stiles pulled me to his chest. He ran his hands down my hair and wrapped an arm protectively around my waist. "I...I never...never told her I loved her before..." Stiles shushed me. I was hysterical. I gasped between sobs. I couldn't breath, but I didn't care. I ft weak. Realization came over me. She's really gone. My knees went weak. I collapsed to the ground. Stiles held me as I sank to my knees. He was crying to now. "This is all my fault" I heard him say. I sprang up. "Stiles's" he wouldn't look at me. "Stile look at me." I took his face in my hands. "This isn't your fault. None of this is your fault. And I know, I know you're dying, so I'm going to say this now, just in case" Stiles gulped. "Stiles...I love you. You're the greatest friend and I know I always took you for granted, but that was in the past. I love and care about you now and I promise I won't let you die." He stared at me stunned. "I...I love you too Lyds. Though um, I think you ready knew that." I smiled. "Come on" I said, taking his hand and pulling him off the ground. "Scott probably needs us."
...
I drove down a familiar road. Scott wanted to be alone. I had sat with Allison's body and said my last goodbyes. I was dropping Stiles off at his house. When I pulled into his driveway, he hesitated. "Um, Lyds...will you stay with me? I mean you don't have to but it's just my dads on the night shift tonight and I figured you might be..." I pulled my key out of the engine. "Of course I'll stay." Stiles blushed. We got out and walked in together. Soon, I was sitting in his bed, wearing one of his old shirts. My face was scrubbed clean of mascara and tears. Stiles came out of the bathroom. He had plaid pajamas and messy hair. I have to admit, he looked adorable. "So you can take the bed I guess I'll go sleep down-" I cut him off. "Shut up Stilinski you're sleeping here with me. I'm pretty sure neither of us want to be alone tonight." Stiles blushed and hoped into bed. I snuggled into his chest. He seemed surprised by this action.
"Stiles?"
"Yeah?"
"This is usually the part where you put your arm around me."
He laughed and put his arm on my shoulder, yet still holding back a bit. I sighed and sat up. "Jesus Stiles it's like you've never cuddled before!" He shrugged. "I guess I just assumed you didn't want me to, um, cuddle you." I gave me a sad smile and looked down. "Stiles, I'm not the girl I used to be. I care about you now. We're buds now. I've completely changed." Stiles sat up a bit, leaning closer to me, a challenging look in his eyes. "Oh yeah? If you've really changed, then answer me this: if I asked you out, would you say yes?" I bit my lip. "I believe I would." Stiles scoffed. "Lier. You'd turn me down. " I sat back, pretending to be offended. "I would not. And I'll prove it to you. " I said while leaning in a little closer. Stiles squinted his eyes. "Oh really? And how are you planning to do that?" I smirked. "Watch me." With that, I captured his little pour into a kiss. His eyes flew open, suddenly feeling wide awake. Stiles realized this was his life long dream, and took full advantage of it. He deepened the kiss and after a while, I pulled away with a smile. He stared at me utterly stunned. "Is that enough proof for you?" I asked. He nodded and smiled. "Plenty"
