In her hidden apartment in the Actorville dormitory building, Walt Disney's beautiful artist wife Lillian sat alone drinking tea.

Her apartment was brightly colored and had fancy furniture, but the mood was dark.

She was singing to herself about how the loss of her husband made her dreams vanished.

Lost one dream, last seen

Headed out the door one rainy day

A trifle tattered and torn

Looking a little worn, okay

But tell me, who doesn't in the morning?

Lost one dream, lost one dream

Woke one day, the dream was gone

Distinguishing characteristics

No, just a corny old dream

An ordinary one, no use pretending

Lost, maybe stolen or strayed

Lost, maybe only mislaid

Don't want a new dream, this one suits me fine

It's got you and me, dear, it's got a great storyline

But now I've lost one dream, lost one dream

A cash reward is up for grabs

Payable to the finder

With this reminder, be sure and check

It still has its happy ending

Lost, maybe stolen or strayed

Lost, maybe only mislaid

Don't want a new dream, this one suits me fine

It's got you and me, dear, it's got a great storyline

But now I've lost one dream, last seen

Heading out the door one rainy day

A trifle tattered and torn

Looking a little worn, okay

But tell me, who doesn't in the morning

Lillian sipped more of her tea when she heard a knock on her door.

She answered it politely and there were the three kids.

"Yes? What is it?" said Lillian.

"Hello, Mrs Disney. I'm Sam Pan. Your husband spoke highly of me. Could we come in?" said Sam.

Lillian stood there with her mouth shut for a few seconds.

"Very well" she whispered.

She led the kids inside and offered them some tea.

"Ma'am, this is Charles Wallace and Calvin" said Sam.

"Pleased to meet you" said Lillian bowing her head.

"Mrs Disney, your husband hired my brother-in-law as one of his actors" said Charles Wallace.

"Did he now. It's nice to befriend someone close to someone who worked with my husband" said Lillian.

"Yeah. I expect the entire studio is devastated" said Calvin.

"Not as devastated as I" said Lillian.

"How are you gonna spend your first Christmas without Walt?" said Sam.

"I shan't. Christmas means nothing to me" said Lillian.

"Nothing?" said Calvin.

"Nothing. Life means nothing to me without Walt. Especially Christmas. Some of the best times I had with Walt were on Christmastime" said Lillian.

"Gee, Mrs Disney. You could at least reminisce those times" said Sam.

"Sam... you don't the know the first thing about losing a husband. Ever since Walt died, I haven't been happy. Memories or no memories" said Lillian.

"I guess I would be sad too if my wife died" said Calvin.

"Good boy" said Lillian.

"And nothing can at least regain your Christmas spirit?" said Sam.

"Not anymore, child. Let me be blunt. My usual and favorite remedy is gone" said Lillian matter-of-factly.

"Couldn't we at least try to help" said Charles Wallace.

Lillian took a deep breath. "Perhaps. But for now, just let me be."

"Yes ma'am" said Calvin.

"Very good. Off you go" said Lillian.
