Chapter 8

JOSH P.O.V 

I left, I couldn't bare to see her face while I upset her again. Why can't I be serious when she wants and needs me to all of a sudden? Thats the reason I left, I didn't want to upset her anymore. I don't know why I was acting like a jerk. I actually loved her. I looked at my phone, since I heard it ding.

Umessage: Heyy <3 I miss you :)

It was Ashley.. damn, she really is desperate. Why can't she accept that I love Destiny? Is it that hard for her to find a new "toy".

Me: Leave me alone.

Ashley: Nooo! You belong to me! That freak Destiny isn't good enough for you! I'm your dream girlfriend.. you love me, I love you... its a perfect match.

Me: No, that is where you're wrong. I love Destiny, I know its hard for you to get it threw your thick skull. I've always loved Destiny, now that I think about it. And its so funny, because Destiny is the most popular girl in school, since 9th grade. Also in middle school, so... what are you talking about? Honestly, I think I dated you to make Destiny jealous. I'm sorry, I really am.. but I don't love you. Goodbye.

Ashley: I love you Joshypoo <3. I know you're just saying those things. Lol. You are so funny! When are you picking me up for prom? :)

I left her on read. Which means I read the message and ignored it. I forgot all about prom, with all the drama and everything, it totally crossed my mind. I have to make up with Destiny so I can ask her. *Beep Boop Beep* *Ring Ring Ring* "Hi.." Destiny said confused. "Hey Destybear. I'm so so so soooo sorry. I love you so much.. and I'm coming to your house." I said starting to walk to her house. I walked back, and walked to the jewelry store. "Joshy.. I forgive you, but don't do it again. I'm tired of crying and being seen or even just being weak." She said. "I love you, see you  soon." I said waiting for an I love you too. "I love you more". I hung up and proceeded to enter the store. "Welcome can I help you find anything?" the employee asked. "Yes, do you have promise rings?" I asked nervously.

"Why yes! Of course, come this way." She said leading me to the promise ring section. I looked and looked until I found the perfect one. It was sterling silver, with a white sapphire. "I'll take this one" I said holding it in its mint green/ blue box. "Okay sir, that'll be $63.82" She said. "Here you go, was it on sale?" I asked "The box said $103.82" I looked at her. "Uh yes, it is. Its your lucky day sir, we never have that good of a sale." She said smiling. She printed out the receipt and gave me a bag. "This must be a pretty special lady, good luck" she said handing me the bag and receipt. "She is, and thank you!" I said. I took the bus to Destiny's, so I could get there quicker. I took the sticker that said the price off the box. I put it in my pocket. I got to her house, ringing the door bell. "Destiny, I think its your boyfriend" I heard her mother yell up the stairs. I heard something from Destiny, I think she said "Can you get it?".
