Chapter 10

I ran up the stairs, to go see Joshua. I wanted to brag about the promise ring to all my friends. I got my phone, and before I could grab it, Joshua grabbed me quickly into his arms. He hugged me, and whispered in my ear "I'm never letting go". "Me either" I said going to kiss him. *Ring Ring Ring Ring* His phone went off, and he took me off his lap and got his phone. "Im sorry, I have to take this call, my college is calling." I forgot to say, we have to apply to colleges, I want to go to Yale, and he wants go to Harvard. Harvard was calling him, while I haven't heard anything back from my college. 

Did he get in? Will he be three thousand or more miles away from me, for about four whole years? Will he move on.. I've had friends with long distant relationships, it never lasts. Someone cheats, moves on, or just forgets. And I am in no shape to be in any of those situations. About ten minutes after I had these thoughts, I heard him call his mom. I didn't tune into his conversation, trust is everything in a relationship. I went on my phone, as I went to text my friends, I seen the ring glimmer. I looked at it for about another ten minutes, debating on what I'm doing with my life. I was so in love with him, I couldn't, I really- really- can't lose him. 

I stood on my bed waiting for him, to come back in. "Hey" I said as he looked at me with the happiest face in the world. I've never seen him this happy.. ever. "I-I- got in!" He said standing there looking at me with his gorgeous eyes. My eyes started to fill up. Not in a good way. I was going to loose him, forever. I wiped away my tears, I wasn't going to ruin his moment. I ran up to him and hugged him and cried on his shoulder. "I love you" he said. I keep crying, and crying, over and over again. His shirt started to get soaked. "I" I choked up again, "Love you more.." , "So much" I said crying even more. Its all over. I went to go to the bathroom, but he wouldn't let me. He was taller then me, so he lifted my chin to look at him. My hazel eyes were all puffy and watery. "Thats impossible, you may love me more, but I love you most. And that will never change, no matter what. You're mine, forever. I will never.. ever leave you." He said looking into my eyes. He wiped my tears and picked me up. In a way, where my legs split and meet behind his back. My arms went around his neck. His hands, were on my waist. 

I loved him too much, but it had to end, before we both got hurt. "I can't Joshua," I said crying. "Can't what?" He said looking at me. "We have to end this, before we both get hurt in the end. Before-" , "No, hush, don't say things like that." he said cutting me off. "No. Joshypoo- Joshua. It has to. I'm not allowing myself get hurt more then I am now. You're going to Harvard, I want to go to Yale. I haven't heard back yet.. I might not even get in. But I also applied to Harvard. I haven't heard back from either of them. " I said still crying. "I don't care Destybear. You're not breaking up with me, because of college. No way. I love you way to much."
