Taylor's pov
After I had caught Liz vaping and she blew up at me, causing an even bigger grounding, some yelling, and the slamming of doors, I tried to hold my tears off as much as I could so Travis wouldn't see how upset I was.
I walked downstairs where he was sitting on the couch, looking down at his phone. The sounds of my footsteps 'caused him to look up from his phone and his eyes immediately softened when he saw me.
"Tay, what's going on? I thought that I heard yelling or something. Have you been crying? What's going on, babe?" He asked frantically.
"Uh, um- I- uh," I started stuttering off, trying to figure out what to say. "Sorry, too many questions. Here, sit down." Travis grabbed me by the arms and helped me sit down next to him before he put an arm around my shoulders. "What's happened? Take your time."
"Well," I sighed. "I went up to Liz's room, just like I said I was gonna do." I started and he nodded along.
"And, well, when I opened the door to check on her, she was, uh, not doing homework." I continued, pausing.
"Okay, so, what was she doing?" Travis asked.
I glanced at him and reached into my pocket, pulling out the vape and setting down in the coffee table in front of us. Travis didn't say anything at first, clearly in a little shock.
"She- she was vaping?" Travis asked, like he needed confirmation.
"I nodded. "Uh, yeah."
"Does- does she know how bad that is for her?! How long had she been doing this? Does she smoke anything else? Does she-" he begins to ramble away until I eventually grabbed his hands. "Travis, Trav. Calm down."
"Right, sorry." Travis sighed, running a hand through his hair. "So, what was all the yelling after that, then? What did she say?"
"Uhm," I trailed off, trying to explain everything without shedding anymore tears. "She tried to justify her actions by saying that she knows that I've done it before so that must make it okay. And then she said that, uh, just because she 'accidentally' called me mom doesn't mean I get to act like one. And that I let it get to my head because I'm not her mom and I should be happy about that, or something." I explained, sniffling every few sentences."
"Oh, baby." Travis replied, rubbing my back in circles. "I'm so sorry."
"It's okay, I guess." I shrugged. "I know I'm not her mom, I just, I still don't like it when she reminds me of that."
"Of course not, babe." Travis replied, pulling me tighter into his body so I could rest my head on his chest.
We sat there in silence for a few minutes with Travis just holding me.
"Y'know, when you think about it," Travis spoke up a little while later. "This kind of makes you her mom more than anything."
"Where have you gotten that conclusion from?" I asked.
"Well, she's in her rebelling, teenage years, all moms have to deal with it. It's just a part of life. And that's just what part you're in now."
"Well, I want out of it." I mumbled.
"They all do, Tay. They all do."

Elizabeth's pov
I already started to regret my words little the second Taylor slammed the door. 'Cause, Y'know, my words shoot to kill when I'm mad. Taylor's own words.
