                               Taylor's pov

My eyes fluttered open slowly and I glanced around, trying to get my eyes accustomed to the light.

I suddenly felt a weight on my chest and I glanced down to see Liz passed out contently.

Glancing at the clock, I saw that it was almost ten and probably about time that I should get up.

I gently tried to push Liz off of my side without waking her up. I quickly replaced my body with a pillow for her to lay her head on, thank god for heavy sleepers.

With a sigh, I gently made my way out of my room and shut the door quietly.

The smell of pancakes instantly filled my nose and I furrowed my eyebrows. Travis doesn't know not to cook, why would he be making food?

I walked down to the kitchen where Travis was standing, taking something out of a white plastic bag. I stood there for a few seconds before he noticed me. "Hey, baby. Sleep well?"

I nodded. "Yeah. What are you doing?"

"Well, we both know that I can't cook to save my life, so I got us some Ihop." Travis replied, taking out another box from the plastic bag.

"Ooh, nice! I was wondering what smelt like pancakes 'cause I knew if you were cooking it'd smell like fire." I replied, walking over to Travis and giving him a little peck on the lips.

"Mean!" Travis pouted, his eyebrows scrunched up adorably. The look on his face was so cute that I couldn't help but lean back up to give him another kiss. "Where'd you sleep last night?" I asked.

"On the couch." Travis replied. "Didn't wanna disrupt any mother/daughter time. Is she still asleep?"

"Yeah." I nodded. "I didn't wanna wake her up."

Travis nodded. "Okay. Well, the food just arrived so it should still be nice and warm. She might have to microwave hers though if she sleeps in for too much longer."

As if on cue, Liz came trolling into the kitchen, rubbing her eyes. "I smell food." She mumbled.

"Speak of the devil." Travis said. "Morning, kiddo. Want some pancakes?"

Liz nodded. "I always want pancakes."

She walked over to where we were standing and grabbed one of the boxes, walking over to the kitchen table.

"Welp, good to know where her priorities are at." I said, walking closer up to Travis and placing a hand on his bicep. "I'm sorry we took the bed from you last night, baby."

Travis just shrugged. "It's alright, the couch is pretty comfortable. And maybe we could make up for it tonight?" He stepped forward the last step to close the gap between us and placed a hand to cup my cheek before he pulled me in for a kiss.

He kissed me softly and we sunk into it. A few seconds later, I felt little pieces of an egg hit me on the side of my face. We broke apart, turning to Liz who was sitting at the table with her food.

"Don't throw food, young lady." I said, placing a hand on my hip.

"Don't make out in front of teenagers." Liz replied.

Travis and I glanced at each other before I reached over and grabbed my food, walking over to the kitchen table to sit next to Liz. "Hey, honey. Did you sleep okay?"

Liz nodded, her mouth full of pancakes. Travis sat down with his food a few seconds later. "So, anything we're supposed to do today?" He asked.

"Oh!" Liz spoke up. "Can I go hang out with Adam?"
