Sam's POV

Things have been good beyond anything you ever imagined. Just over two months together, you've made it two months and then some! Eddie has been the best thing to ever happen to you.
His friends were put off by him taking you back, but you can't blame them. Steve and his children however, they've been pretty welcoming.
Steve you weren't worried about, he was happy to not have to listen to each of you whine to him about the other anymore. Instead, he now complained about the constant noises from your room. And the bathroom. And the living room. Ok, and his room that one time.

Graduation came and went only a short week after you got back together. Steve had been trying to find somewhere to have a party for Eddie, Robin and Vickie. You had been able to get Mrs. Rowe to let you use the studio with the promise not to let it get out of control. Much to your surprise, it wasn't a huge party, just what seemed to be Steve and Eddie's core group.

You met a few new people. Johnathan, Will's brother. Nancy, Mike's sister and Johnathan's girlfriend. El, Hopper's daughter and Mike's girlfriend. She's also pretty much Will and Johnathan's sister as Hopper is dating their mom. Everyone is so connected with each other, Steve even dated Nancy at one point.

They all spent the night in whispers to each other when you were near. It was a little hard not to take it personally when Steve and Robin started doing it too.

"You ok?" Eddie asked when he came back to you from talking with Dustin and Will.

You were stood by yourself against the entrance to the office at the back of the party.

"Yeah, I think I'm gonna go. Just promise you guys won't trash the place." You said and gave him a quick kiss.

"Sam, it's not you. We've just all been through a lot together." He told you.

"It's ok. You have fun and I'll be home when you're done."

"I drove you." He said, trying to get you to stay.

"I can walk, it's still nice out right now."

He reluctantly said goodbye as all the kids came over, trying to get his attention.

Now, it's been over two months and it's still like that a lot. Steve said it's nothing, just the way the group is, but you can tell they're being secretive, hiding something. Eddie is doing his best to make you feel like part of the group but you find yourself sitting on the sidelines with Vickie a lot.

"It's not that I don't want to tell you, I just can't." Eddie says as you get back to his place from hanging out with everyone.

"You can't or you won't? Did you know that I asked Hopper about his investigation into me and he acted like there was nothing there?"

"What does that have to do with this?" He asks.

"Steve was on the phone with him when I got home. They were talking about me."

"They were talking about you?"

"You really didn't know?"

He shakes his head.

You aren't sure you believe him. You haven't had a single doubt since you got back together until now.
