Eddie's POV

We didn't find out much from going to the cabin those weeks ago. Sam and I are finally friends though so something good came of it. She got a job out at The Hideout, which has been nice but she's off Tuesdays so that kind of sucks.

At first we only hung out in groups, with Steve and Robin, but now we can hang out just the two of us. It's nice. Sometimes I think I catch her looking at me like she used to but it's fleeting. We're such good friends I even talk to her about Victoria now.

Victoria. Victoria is nice. We've been going together a couple weeks now, met at one of the shows. She's pretty. Long blonde hair and bright blue eyes. She's nice. She doesn't always get my humor like Sam does, or listen to what I want to talk about as much as Sam, but she's nice. Nice is good. Nice is... nice. We get along.

"This is going to be so fun!" Robin exclaims as we all pile into Steve's car.

She's clearly had a few pre-drinks drinks.

Vickie went off to college and they agreed to take a break for the duration. Tonight is Robin night, meaning she got to pick where we go and she picked The Hideout. I've never hung out with Sam with Victoria, which I tried to explain, but she really wanted to hang out with Sam even though she's working.

"You're going to love Sam!" Robin gushes to Victoria from the front seat. "She's like the best!"

Victoria gives my hand a tighter squeeze as Robin keeps talking about Sam in the front seat. I lightly kick Steve's seat.

"Hey, Rob, what was that stupid movie about that you picked at work?" Steve asks, distracting her as she goes on a rant about Steve's 'pedestrian' taste in movies.

"This isn't going to be weird is it?" Victoria asks as we walk into The Hideout, Robin yelling and waving at Sam.

"Of course not." I assure her and put my arm around her just as I spot Sam.

Victoria smiles at me and leans in, I give her a quick kiss.

When I look back over, Sam is gone. A man is leaned over the bar and helps her up as she holds her head.

Steve is laughing and she mumbles something about break before disappearing. I watch as the guy that helped her follows in the same direction and take a step to follow but can't, Victoria is holding on tight.

"Let's get a table." Victoria says and Steve and Robin agree.

We get a table but Steve doesn't sit.

"I'm going to go check on Sam." He says and heads in the direction she left from.

"I think they'd make a cute couple, don't you?" Victoria asks me.

"Hm? No." I say a little too hard and she gives me a funny look. "Sorry. She's just not really his type."

"I heard she used to work at that club out."

Robin stops Victoria by pulling her up to dance with her and honestly, I'm grateful for it. She knows about Sam but not everything. I just told her it hadn't worked out but we were still friends.

Steve comes back rather quickly, looking a little rattled.

"She ok?" I ask him.

"Yeah, she's fine." He says and avoids looking me in the eye.

Not too long after, I see Sam and the guy return to the bar.

What the hell?

I watch as Sam smiles and grabs a napkin, wetting it and handing it to the guy. He wipes his mouth and there's lipstick on it. Her lipstick.
