Sam's POV

You and Eddie stay at the diner talking and laughing until you realize the early breakfast crowd of shift workers is showing up.

'He's been so different than at school, like the other night. Look at those dimples.' You think as you drive back to the trailer park.

"Uh, I had a lot of fun." He says somewhat nervously.

"So did I." You say with a smile.

Fuck. No, you don't like him like that. Stop staring at him. This is exactly why you have rules. Just say goodbye and leave.

"Later, Munson." You say and watch as he heads up his steps.

"Shit." You hear him mutter as he jiggles the door knob and searches his pockets.

"You locked out?" You ask with a small laugh.

"It's ok, my uncle will be up soon." He says as he lights a cigarette.

"Get in Munson." You say, surprising yourself a little.

"Place looks good." Eddie says a little nervously.

"Thanks." You say with a small chuckle as he had seen it just last night and head to your room.

"You coming?" You ask and poke your head out when Eddie doesn't follow.

You pull your bag off and put it in your small closet.

"Your room doesn't really look how I thought it would." Eddie comments as he looks around.

"How'd you think it was going to look?"

"I don't know. This is just. Plain. And you're so..."

"What?" You ask.

"Awesome."

"Uh, thanks." You say with a grin and pull out your bong from the closet then your new stash from your bag.

You smoke together, getting all giggly and talkative.

"No! I'm not kidding, I did it! The water was freezing!" You exclaim when he doesn't believe you about jumping off a bridge on a dare.

"You're full of shit!" He says with a laugh.

"Am not! Look." You say and pull up your shirt. "I got caught in the current after I bashed into a rock!"

He lightly touches the scar that sits just below the band of your bra on your side.

"You do have a tattoo." He says and his fingers move down to the vertical dagger on your side.

"Mhm."

"You have any others?"

"Yep." You answer with a smile.
