Sam's POV

"This is yours?" Dmitri asks as we reach Fern.

"Yep."

He looks at the words scratched into the sides and hood, then you again.

"I added the 'number one' part." You tell him. "Figured if that's what people are gonna think or call me, I may as well be the best at it."

Steve had covered 'SLUT' and 'WHORE' with cardboard on Fern before. When the two of you finally got the paint off and the cardboard was gone once again, whoever it was decided to carve it in instead. Steve had been pissed that Hopper didn't figure out who it was and was completely dumbfounded when you scratched '#1' in front of the words. Robin laughed at your solution and Eddie, he was busy; probably fucking Victoria.

"You are strange woman." Dmitri says.

"You have no idea." You mutter.

Actually he might. He knows who you are in relation to Hopper. He might know about the weird healing thing.

"Where you going?" You ask as he starts to walk away.

"I am just staying around the corner. I do not drive here."

Wow, ok, kinda thought we were leaving together.

"I'll walk you." You offer and step beside him.

"You sure you want to do that?"

Good, he's getting it.

"I'm sure." You tell him and give him a stronger kiss than before.

He takes your hand and you start walking towards the motel that's on the street around the corner.

"What are we doing?" You ask as he helps you step over the little fence that surrounds the pool area.

"Faster than going around."

"It's getting cold, shouldn't that thing be covered?"

"It is heated." He says.

You stop walking.

"Change your mind?" He asks.

"No." You say with a smile and pull your jacket off. "Going for a swim."

"Now?"

"It'll be fun." You say as you pull your shirt off and wiggle out of your jeans.

He lights a cigarette as he takes you in, muttering in Russian to himself.

"What's that?" You ask of his muttering as you take his cigarette and take a drag.

"You are very beautiful woman." He says, making you smile as you give him the cigarette back.

You dive into the pool.

"Coming in?" You ask when you resurface.

"No."

"The water's nice." You say.

He takes his boots and socks off then pulls his pant legs up and sits at the edge of the shallow end.

"Jim is right, you are troublemaker." He says with a grin after you flip off a few passersby while swimming.

"That a problem?" You ask once you've swam to him, now standing between his legs.

"You do not care what they think?"

"Why should I?"

This time he pulls you close, kissing you.
