" Who the fuck do you think I am? "

It had been a week since Keira had gotten back from Hogwarts. Lily knew about Remus' ultimatum, she knew she had to tell Keira at some point, but she was scared. Scared for ruining their friendship, scared for hurting Keira, scared of how she'd react.

Over the last couple months Keira had become different, she acted different, almost more confident and ruthless. She was always up, up early in the morning, up late at night, Josie would often hear her in the middle of the night rustling around or leaving their dorm and come back hours later.

Her friends noticed changes in her, she was more lively, chatty, and carefree. She went to a party every weekend and would come back either high or drunk. They only became concerned once they got back to school. Lily was scared that if she told her about her and James she'd fall deeper into her habit of drinking and smoking, and she didn't want that for her best friend.

One evening, Keira had gone to the Library to study and came back at 1AM. She entered the Ravenclaw Common Room expecting it to be empty, but instead all her friends sat on the sofas looking at her expectantly.

"What're you all doing here?" Keira asked, even James was there.

"Keira are you on speed?" Lily asked abruptly, wanting to get the point of their intervention across quickly.

"What?" Keira scoffed.

"Well..." Remus said expectantly.

"Well what?"

"Well, are you?" Remus replied.

"No, I'm not!" Keira said firmly. Technically, she was telling the truth since she was actually taking dexies. However, none of them seemed impressed.

"Well, you're on something, that's no including the alcohol and the weed you smoke." Josie said.

"You're all acting like none of you have ever taken drugs." Keira said.

"We have but we're not taking it daily like you." Sirius said.

"Okay, I take a few dexies once in a while to help with studying, but that's it! And I'm not having them every day." Keira found herself lying to her friends about that, she was taking them everyday but she wasn't going to admit that to anyone.

"You swear?" Josie asked.

"Swear." Keira swore.

"Okay, I guess our job is done." Marlene said, getting up from the couch.

"I'm going to bed." Peter said as they all got up to leave.

They all said goodbye to Josie and Keira before leaving the Common Room. Keira shook her head in disbelievement. She didn't know they were noticing anything, she made a mental note to be careful and do everything she can to not seem obvious about it anymore.

. . .

A couple days went by and there was no sign of Lily or James telling Keira, so Remus decided to take it into his own hands. All three of them were his best friends, but that didn't stop him from seeing what was right and who's in the wrong.

After confiding in Sirius about it, he decided to tell the two Gryffindors before he went to Keira. It was a Sunday and Remus went walking around the castle to find either one of them.

While Remus was walking around the school grounds, Keira was walking into the Library to study, she searched the nooks trying to find an empty one, when turning a corner she saw Lily and James in one, both of them looked like they were in a deep conversation.
