" And if it feels good, then it can't be bad. "

Keira felt happy. She felt happy. Her schoolwork was going well, she had a boyfriend who cared for her, she had good friends. Though, those things brought her happiness, nothing made her happier than the drugs.

Though she loved them, something she didn't notice was the amount of drugs she was taking and how often. It used to be a dexie or two throughout the day, now it was two of them - one in the morning, one in the evening - coke, and a couple shots of firewhiskey and that was just to get her through the day. Jett was the one who gave it to her, he always had a jar of coke or a flask of alcohol on him at all times, whenever he took some, he asked Keira to take it with him. As he usually says; "If it feels good, then it can't be bad." played in her head whenever she used. She believed him.

"Fuck, I'm late to Potions." Keira sat up quickly, it had been 30 minutes since her first lesson began.

She ran around her dorm, throwing her uniform on and brushing her hair out.

"J, get up." She said while rifling through her beside drawer, looking for a new quill, he groaned in response, leaning over to the drawer where her coke was kept. He tipped some on the table, "J, you don't have time." She sighed.

"Come on, don't make me take it on my own." He looked at her, kissing her cheek slowly, after a couple more she gave in.

"Fine, only a little." Keira pecked his lips.

Once she stumbled into the Potions classroom, after just sharing a heated kiss with Jett in the corridor, everyone's heads turned to her.

"Sorry I'm late Professor." She said, taking her seat next to Marlene.

Professor Slughorn continued with his lesson until it ended, where he asked Keira to stay behind.

"What is it you wanted, Professor?" She asked him as he sat at his desk.

"I've noticed your tardiness has become a trend these last couple weeks, I wanted to ask if there's something making you late, maybe lack of sleep? Forgive my bluntness, but you look rather tired, if this extra work is putting too much pressure on you then I'm more than happy to stop assigning you it." Professor Slughorn said.

Keira shook her head quickly, "No, everything's good my alarm just hasn't been going off some morning, I need to get a new one." Keira let out a awkward laugh.

"Okay then, off you go."

Keira gave him a smile before leaving the classroom and to her next lesson. The rest of her lessons she did as she normally did; listening to everything the teacher says, making pages of notes, and answer many of the questions. The drugs helped her stay alert and gave her more energy to work harder.

. . .

"Hey guys." Keira smiled, sitting next to Sirius on the couch in the Ravenclaw Common Room, he looped his arm around her shoulders.

"Hi, where did you just come from?" Remus asked.

"Oh, I was with Jett." Keira said. The Marauders knew who Jett was, he was well known in their year as being a big druggie, he was also got around a lot - that was if you believed the rumours about him.

"So, are you coming to my game tomorrow?" Sirius asked, poking her arm with his finger, Keira giggled in response.

"'Course I am, Sirius." She poked his ribcage back, to which he dramatically clutched it.

"You better be wearing the scarf and hat." Remus said, last year he bought her a Gryffindor scarf and hat for the Quidditch games, he said it was to help she show support.

"I will, but I don't know if you've noticed, but my boyfriend is in your opposing team." Keira said mischievously.

"You're not saying what I think your saying." Sirius gasped.

"I will be wearing a Slytherin hat instead."

"Noo!" Sirius cried, sliding off the sofa, people around the Common Room stopped and stared, but turned around soon enough, used to Sirius Black's antics.

"Just doing my duty." Keira held her hands up.

"So you two are serious?" Peter asked.

"No, I'm-" Sirius started.

"We know, you're Sirius." Keira shook her head, interrupting Sirius, "But yeah, I'd say we are."

"Yeah, because wearing his house's hat to a Quidditch game is what makes relationships serious." Sirius said, sitting back on the sofa.

"You can't say anything about serious relationships, when was your last relationship that lasted 2 weeks?" Keira asked sarcastically. She didn't notice Remus' awkward shuffle in his seat and the way him and his boyfriend, Sirius shared a look.

"No comment." He said.

Later, Remus and Peter went back to their Common Room while Sirius stayed, following Keira into her dorm, saying he wanted more 'gossip time'.

"Sirius there's nothing I know!" Keira groaned, throwing a top laid on her bed onto the seat at her desk, tired of him asking if she knew anything going on at school.

"Not even a whisper?" Sirius asked.

"No, not even a whisper. Anyway, why would I know? It's not like people come running to me when they hear a piece of gossip." Keira said, sitting on her bed.

"Yeah, but you have connections." Sirius whined, joining Keira on her bed.

"As if." She scoffed.

"Yeah, you have Jett who's pretty popular so you hear things from him, you have us from Gryffindor, and you have friends in Hufflepuff." He said.

"Alright maybe I do." Keira sighed, giggling, "Why are you so desperate to know, anyway?"

"I'm not." He answered defensively.

"If you say so." She said, grabbing paper and a textbook from her bedside table, flicking through it to find work to study.

They both sat in silence as Keira scribbled on her parchment, Sirius looking around the room, trying to find the words to explain to Keira why he was nagging. He wanted to tell her he was gay, he was surprised that Josie hadn't told her best friend, but knowing she didn't made his heart warm.

After taking a deep breath, the words came out of his mouth, "Keira, I'm gay."

Keira looked up from her work, her eyes were slightly wide open, her mouth shut.

After that, Sirius' mouth took control, not thinking before he was speaking, "I just wanted you to know. I have for a while, actually, I was just scared and not ready to actually tell anyone."

Keira's face broke out in a smile as she quickly crawled to where he was on her bed, wrapping her arms around his neck as she gave him a tight hug. Sirius instantly hugged her back, so much relief had been taken from him.

Not knowing what he was doing next, Sirius opened his mouth again, "I'm going out with Remus." Keira pulled away, a shocked look on her face.

"Stop!" She lightly smacked his arm. He shook his head, telling her he was being serious, "Oh my god, I'm so happy for you Sirius." She pulled him into another hug.

"Thank you." He mumbled.
