I am not frightened of dying, you know

Any time will do, I don't mind

Why should I be afraid of dying?

There's no reason for it, you've gotta go sometimes.

I never said I was afraid of dying.

It had been a month and Keira and Jett were constantly around each other, every night they stayed at either one's dorm room, staying up until early hours of the morning, sleeping in late, and taking the most amount of drugs either one of them had taken.

One night, The two were in Keira's dorm, music was playing loudly off her vinyl player; a great big gig in the sky playing.

They were laughing, shouting, running, laying, singing, jumping, and everything else in that room.

"Fuck, I love you, Keira." Jett said as they laid on the floor in each others arms. She smiled up at him, her eyes started closing slowly, Jett watched thinking she was just sleepy, until when he said her name, she didn't do anything. "Keira. Keira?" He shook her harder, nothing was working, "Fuck, fuck, fuck." He swore, standing up to kneel over her.

He tried everything, he opened her eyes, blew air in her face, anything he could think of. He realised what was happening, seeing it happen at a muggle party he was at once. He lifted her up, taking her into her bathroom where he laid her on the floor of her shower, turning it on, hoping it would wake her up. When nothing happened he got up.

"FUCK!" He yelled, kicking the bathroom door, letting it bash into the wall behind, leaving a dent from the handle.

"Hello?!" A voice behind the bedroom door called, sounding frantic.

Jett didn't know what to do, does he answer it and let them see what was happening or let the person stay on the other side of the door? He chose the latter first, until the knocks started getting louder and the calls continued. Annoyed, he unlocked the door and opened it, only letting his face be seen as he didn't open it far.

On the other side of the door was James Potter, he looked confused and slightly annoyed when he saw Jett.

"What do you want?" Jett spat, knowing who James was.

"I need to speak with Keira." James said, standing tall and puffing his chest out.

Jett started to panic, he can't let James know what was happening, "N-no, she's busy. You need to leave." He went to close the door but James stopped it with his foot.

James smelt the weed and cigarette smoke, he could see Keira's bedside table where lines, ashtrays, plastic bags, and firewhiskey bottles littered it. Right then he knew something was wrong.

"Move out the way, Jett." James said.

"No, you need to go." He tried to push the door on James but couldn't.

"Fucking let me in!" James shouted as he managed to slam his body against it so hard it made Jett stumble back.

Once James was in the room he looked around seeing the mess, her bedding was all over the place and the dorm was just as bad as what he saw on her bedside table. Music was still blasting, but he didn't care.

"Keira? Keira?!" James called, looking around the room, once he'd moved further in he saw the dent against the wall and the bathroom door. He instantly made his way to it, running, as he yanked the door almost off it's hinges he saw the sight - Keira laid in the shower unconscious.

"What the fuck did you do?!" He stormed to Jett who was still in the bedroom.

"N-nothing I have to... I have to go." Jett was panicking, he didn't mean for Keira to OD. After he said that, he quickly left the dorm, leaving the door wide open for anyone to see James rush back into the bathroom.

He got into the shower, taking Keira into his arms, he shook her, calling her name, trying to get her to wake up. He noticed how bad she looked, she had dark circles under her eyes, her hair was a mess, and her makeup was smeared on her face, her red lipstick was smeared, James could only guess what had caused that.

"Fuck, Keira, wake up," James shook her more, "Please, please, Kir just wake up, please." James let himself weep, not knowing what to do, absolutely terrified of loosing her.

All he knew was to shout for someone's help, "Help! Someone please help!" He shouted at the top of his lungs. He'd never shouted so loudly in his life, not even at Quidditch.

Quickly after he saw Josie sprinting in, "Oh my god!" She shouted, seeing Keira's state.

"She took too much." James said, tears still rolling down his cheeks.

"We need to get her to Madame Pomfrey." Josie said quickly, she went to help James carry Keira but he shook his head.

"I've got her." He said before they ran out of the Ravenclaw Common Room and to the Hospital Wing.

. . .

When Keira woke up, she was in a foreign bed, in different clothes, and feeling worse than she even had before. Her eyes took time to adjust to the bright lights, but when she did she turned her head, seeing Josie asleep on the chair next to her bed.

"Josie." Keira whispered, but it was enough to wake up her best friend from her light sleep.

"Oh thank Merlin you're okay, Keira." Josie quickly got up and kneeled at her bed, "I was so worried." She choked on a sob as silent tears rolled down Keira's cheek.

"I'm so sorry." Keira cried, "I didn't mean to. I'm so sorry."

"No, don't be." Josie stroked her brown hair.

"Where's Jett?" Keira asked, looking around the rest of the wing, "Is he okay?"

Josie didn't know how to break it to Keira, "Jett left."

"What?"

"He left you last night. He left you laying in the shower, that's where I found you. I don't know where he is, but he hasn't shown up."

Keira felt that same anger again; betrayal. How could he leave her? He was the one who made her take the dugs anyway. Seh laid back in her bed, rubbing her forehead.

"How long was I out?" Keira asked.

"I found you not too long after, but it's midday right now." Josie put a comforting hand on Keira's arm, stroking it softly.

"What happens now? The school knows what happened, I'll probably be kicked out now, won't I?"

Josie shook her head, "No, you're not going to get kicked out. But, your parents were called and they're coming.

"Fuck, they're going to be so mad." Keira let more tears fall, "I'm so tired, Josie." Keira looked her best friend in the eyes, Josie knew she didn't just mean that she wanted to sleep, Keira was tired of it all, all the anger, the sadness, the heartbreak. Keira was absolutely exhausted by it all.
