" You're travelling with my heart. I hope this is temporary feeling, 'cause it's too much to bare without you. "

Marlene's death was just a month ago and was truly a wake-up call to everyone, especially the O'Connor family. They all collectively decided to spend more time together, not just seeing each other at Order meetings, but they decided to make concrete plans together.

Now, once a week the family would get together and have dinner, the day varied each week due to everyone's schedules, but they made sure that once a week, a dinner would happen.

It wasn't a formal occasion, but once every couple weeks Keira liked to make an effort to look extra nice, she always enjoyed the act of getting ready by doing her makeup, hair, and choosing a cute outfit. Especially since she'd loudly play her music and sing along to it. It really boosted her confidence, which she needed every once in a while.

"Alright, Mary, we're off. You're sure you don't want to come? My parents really wouldn't mind." Keira said, putting on her trench coat as Mary sat on her sofa, flipping through the few channels Keira had on her TV.

Mary had been staying at people's houses frequently every since Marlene's death. She didn't like being in that house all alone with so many memories in every room she stepped into. It annoyed her, her and Marlene put so much effort into making that house so nice and now she couldn't bare the sight of anything there because it all reminded her too much of her beloved.

Keira, and everyone else, always welcomed her with open arms.

"Really, I'm fine here. Thank you though, Keira." Mary smiled.

"Okay, well as usual, help yourself to anything and you know where the takeaway drawer is."

"Have fun." Mary said to Keira and Bradley who just entered the room, grabbing the keys from the key bowl.

"We won't be late. Bye." Keira kissed Mary's forehead before walking over to the open front door where Bradley waved bye to Mary.

Soon, the couple apparated to Keira's parents' house and was quickly welcomed in by her mother.

"So good to see you two!" Julia beamed, giving both the young adults a hug.

"How have you been, Julia?" Bradley asked as he hung up his and Keira's coats on the coat rack.

"I've been well, and yourself, Bradley?" Julia replied as they walked into the kitchen where Christopher was stood over the stove.

"Good, work is going well, I should back in the field soon."

"Oh that's good to hear!" Julia said enthusiastically.

A comfortingly familiar smell met Keira as they walked in the kitchen. They were cooking her favourite meal; a Sunday Roast.

"Ah, Keira, I've boiled some potatoes for you to make your mash." Christopher pointed to the silver pot on the stove he was stood at.

"Gladly!" Keira smiled as she grabbed the potato masher from a drawer and got to work.

"Bradley, have you ever carved a turkey?" Christopher asked Bradley as he handed him a beer from the fridge, both of their usual drinks.

"I don't believe I have." Bradley replied, taking a sip.

"Well, today's the day I teach you," Keira and Julia looked at each other with amused looks, Christopher always had his little quirks they found funny, "It's not a skill that gets you far in life, but... well, it's useful on Christmas." The four laughed together.
