" If you don't want to do the things I need for you; goodbye, goodbye. 'Cause I gave it away, I gave it away. "

"Oh Merlin, I love it." Keira breathed with a big smile as she walked around the kitchen.

"You better, Mary spent weeks choosing what colour paint to use." Marlene smirked, leaning against the wooden kitchen table.

Keira laughed as she admired the room. Marlene and Mary had just given her, Josie, Lily, James, Sirius, Remus, Peter, and Bradley a tour of their new house they got.

"Now this is my favourite part." Sirius stood in front of a large mirror mounted on the wall, playing with his hair and popping his shirt collar.

"I wonder why." Josie mumbled, gaining a giggle from Lily and James who stood hand-in-hand.

"So, any housewarming parties coming up?" Lily asked.

"Actually, yes," Mary grinned, "Clear your calendar for this Saturday because it's going to be a good one."

"We've been stocking on drinks for a week already." Marlene said, joining Keira at the garden doors.

"We'll be there." Keira spoke for her and Bradley, knowing they had no plans for that night.

"Hey, have you thought of putting a raised flowerbed over in that corner?" Peter said, pointing to an empty area of the garden. Everyone looked at him confused, "What? I garden." He shrugged.

"Since when do you garden?" Remus asked.

"Since months ago." Peter said in an obvious tone.

"Good for you, Pete." Keira said, looking out at the area Peter was pointing at.

"Actually, a flower bed could look nice, you should do it." Josie said.

"Thank you!" Peter cried.

"What, so now everyone is becoming a gardener?" James asked.

"Yeah." Josie said simply.

. . .

It was the day of Marlene and Mary's housewarming party, so was it the day that Keira would find out if she got the promotion.

She sat at her desk all day, her head perking up at anyone entering her office, but so far, there had been no word on the verdict.

As she filled out a form, a knock sounded at the door before it was opened.

"Miss Keira O'Connor?" A man walked in the office, asking Keira, seeing as no one else was in the shared office.

"That's me." She replied nervously, she knew why he was in her office. Mainly because of the envelope in his hand.

"Ah good," He nodded, "This is for you." He walked over, handing her the letter.

"Thank you." Keira smiled, taking it from me.

He nodded his head with a smile, "Have a good day, Miss." He said as he walked back to the door.

"You too." Keira replied looking at the letter as the man left.

It had the Ministry's usual wax stamp on the back, on the front was Keira's name written in cursive. She held it in her hands nervously, but only for a couple seconds before she tore it open, taking the letter out of the envelope.
