JasonI was not having my best day. We had just been attacked by a whole hoard of monsters, and then my best friend had come back looking like he'd been shoved in a blender.
"Hey, lil' bro." My sister walked in, her combat boots thumping on the wooden floor of my room. I smiled and waved. I had to admit, I'd felt a small stab of jealousy of Annabeth and Percy's friendship with her. They'd known her way better than me, her own brother. Annabeth had known her since she was seven. And I could never help but feel that it was my fault Thalia ran away.
"Cheer up, grumpy. You look almost like Dad there - not the best look," she said. Thunder rumbled outside and she smirked.
"Anyway, your Repair Boy says we'll be there soon."
I nodded and tried to prepare myself for the battle ahead.
I spoke to Thalia for a while, trying to catch up a bit. Her favourite story was still how I tried to eat a stapler. It was taking a bit of energy to help the ship stay in the air still, but it was getting easier."All on deck!" I heard Annabeth shout from the hallway. I looked around my room. I touched the familiar coin in my pocket. Then I left to head to the deck. I saw a hunter who caught my eye. At first glance, I could've sworn her eyes were gold. I narrowed my eyes. Where had I seen that before?
I made eye-contact with her. Yes, definitely gold. I was about to ask Thalia, but the girl disappeared into the crowd.

My sister and I fought our way to the front of the deck, where Leo and Annabeth stood, on higher ground. Leo looked better, only a small scar on the corner of his forehead. Annabeth and Percy (who was standing beside me) looked better too, only a few burns and bruises.
I found Piper talking to a hunter. They finished speaking and I laced my hand in hers. I noticed the brief flash of distaste on the Hunter's face.
"Don't worry, man, they don't like men much," Percy whispered to me.
"No kidding," I whispered back.
"I mean, at least they don't turn us into guinea pigs," Percy replied. Before I could ask what the Hades that experience was, Leo whistled and the chatter died down."Wassup Armageddon round six-hundred-and-forty-three gang!" he shouted. Annabeth visibly cringed, like most people along with myself. Thalia and Percy snorted.
"I can't land on the ice, so we'll stay here in the Bay until Annabeth comes back, and then we go directly over the glacier. Then it's action time. Okay, listen up to Owl Head now!" he said, jumping off the platform. He earned a glare that was almost amused, before the daughter of Athena spoke.
"Hazel, Percy and I will scout the area on Arion, to analyse the situation. Hazel, because Arion is her horse. Percy because we're in his element.
Me, I need to check terrain et cetera for a battle strategy. We will not engage, we will simply go in, and out. We need to check that Thanatos is there, and what we are facing. When we get back, we all head straight for the glacier on the Argo. The seven of us will head down first, and try to free Thanatos. We don't know what we're facing yet, so we formulate a rescue plan from there. We get the idea it won't be the easiest mission. Thalia, I want you and your hunters to stay on the ship-" there were grumbles at that "- the reason being, that whatever we are going against won't know you're here. This gives us the biggest advantage, the element of suprise. Leo here, will shoot up fire when we need your back-up.""The three of us are leaving in ten, get your weapons ready."
With that, we prepared for the battle to come.
