Leo

Drama? Sure! Drama between my girlfriend and Annabeth? No. No me gusta. NADA. I would rather eat Minotaur meat.

Seriously. And normally that word isn't in my vocabulary.

To be honest, a small part of me was curious for more. I mean, we had literally learned nothing about what happened down there in the pit. And we just got a glimpse of how hellish it was. And I have a feeling it was just a fraction of what happened down there.

Calypso looked like she was about to scream. Knots twisted in my stomach and I turned to face her.

"Hey, hey. It's fine. Annabeth is just angry after learning she has to go down there again. She was angry but she still had no right to take it out on you. And Percy swore on the Styx it's not your fault! Hell, if someone left me on an island - even if they had no choice - I can guarantee there would be a whole range of curses coming their way! Some pretty creative ones too. So don't worry about it."

She smiled and I kissed her, hands going through her shiny caramel hair. I heard someone clear their throat. It turned out to be Jason. I turned around and my cheeks turned hot as I realised everyone was looking at us.

"Who's Bob?" Hazel asked Nico innocently. Her brother just shifted uncomfortably at the stares drawn to him.

"A friend," was all he said. He gripped his sword
and walked out of the room.

"So what was the prophecy?" Rachel said groggily. She sat up, rubbing her eyes. She looked around and her eyebrows furrowed.

I can't lie, I completely forgot about her. I think everyone else did too.

"Where's Percy? Where's Annabeth and Nico? Seriously, what the Styx was in that prophecy?" she said, getting up and brushing off her jeans.

Jason passed her the notepad and she began to read. When she was finished, she tapped her fingers on the table, her long acrylics making a loud rapping noise. She was lost in thought.

"Maybe the prophecy isn't what we think it is. I think more of us should go down there. I mean, we literally have no idea what happened down there... what it's like... anything. They all know something we don't," Piper said, kaleidoscopic eyes darting around the room.

Then, Percy walked back in. He had a slightly forced smile and was throwing riptide up and down, flicking it around in his fingers.

"I think Leo and I could do with some sugar," he said, winking at me. He strolled straight past a protesting Grover and grabbed some Lucozades. He chucked one at me. I went to grab it, but it slipped through my fingers and landed on Piper's head. She cursed and glared daggers before laughing.

"Annabeth's talking to Nico," Percy said, taking a swig of his drink before sitting down at the head of the table.

"About...?" Rachel said, raising an eyebrow.
"Explaining stuff. About..." he trailed off.  I wondered if Nico was the only person that he trusted. Stupid, Leo. His fatal flaw is loyalty.

"Right, okay. Let's do this. So, the prophecy. Athena's daughter shall go Tartarus beneath. We all on the same page?"
"Pretty self explanatory," Grover muttered.
"Right. Next line, a lost item and closed doors they seek. Well, you'd hope we seek a closed door. A lost item? Anyone got any ideas?" Everyone shook their heads. "Okay, so next line. An oath is made concerning a final breath. Sounds kinda similar to the original prophecy, but I still don't like it. Final breath? Some of us have made a hobby out of that, but it's not exactly encouraging. Okay, final line: But only alone one may exit the Doors of Death. Pretty self explanatory again, but it could have other meanings.... anyone have anything to add?"

There were shakes of the head.

"Ugh, this is Annabeth's thing," he said, rubbing his temples.
"What is?" Frank frowned.
"Using this," he said, pointing to his head.
"Hair?" I frowned. "I mean, don't get me wrong, I have no complaints about her hair it's just-"
"He means using his brain, dummy. You don't seem to have one either," Calypso informed me. Hazel giggled, and everyone started laughing when she snorted. Soon, we were all laughing. Though I noticed that Percy was staring at Grover, who was staring back at him, both of whom were laughing only half-heartedly. They were definitely doing that super cool telepathy thingy again.

Percy cleared his throat. "So, as you all know, I'll be going down there with her-."
Rachel stood up and started waving her finger in his face, red hair sticking up at angles that could rival my own. And that's saying something. I am the KING of scruffy hair.

Sidetracked. Ooh, sugar's getting to my head.

"Nuh uh, was this said when I was unconscious?" Rachel said.
"Nope," Jason said.
"Right, well, sorry-."
"I thought Annabeth said she was going alone?" Calypso said.
"She thinks she is. If she goes down, I go down. And if any of you tell her, prepare to have a meeting with Mrs O'Leary. She will murder you with saliva. And there is no escape," he said ominously and we laughed.

"But I am being deadly serious about that though. Anyway, I'd prefer it if Annabeth and I aren't demigod pancakes when we hit the ground of Tartarus. So, Leo, can you make anything?"

My brain started going haywire. "I could make some sort of parachute... If I put some sort of atmosphere changing activation on it. Then I could lace it with celestial bronze, stygian iron and imperial gold as well as some enchantments from Hazel. I could do a sort of-." I started and Calypso laughed.

"Anything which doesn't equal death is fine," Percy smiled. I nodded, infinite designs running through my head. I wondered if they would appreciate Shrek and Fiona as the theme. But wouldn't that make a Grover donkey? I tried not to laugh out loud like a maniac at the thought.

"And Grover...?" Percy said, turning to the satyr.
"Mmhm?" he said, looking up.
"Annabeth wanted you to look after this," he said. He picked the black ring from Thanatos and flicked it across the room. It landed in the satyr's plan and Grover's eyes widened.

"Me? But-"
"You take it, for now. If you go back to camp, leave it here, but make sure it's one hundred percent secure 24/7," Percy said, smiling. Grover nodded and held the ring in a tight fist.
"You can stay in Coach Hedge's room with Nico," I said.

Suddenly, the door opened and Annabeth came in, Nico trailing behind her, like an ominous shadow. He looked sad and exchanged a look with Percy that was almost understanding. Percy shifted uncomfortably and glanced at Annabeth.

Annabeth sat down next to her boyfriend and slammed a sheet of paper on the table. She looked up and addressed everyone, a cold look in her eyes.

"How do I get down there?"

I had a really bad feeling about this.
