Nico

"WILL!" I shouted, every piece of pressure and worry evaporated from my chest.

"Hi," was all the nerve he had to say to me. I pulled him into a bone crushing hug.

"I thought you were dead!" I scolded.

"Watch it missy!" Clarisse said threateningly behind me. I turned to see Medea trying to run away, but Clarisse pressed her spear to the witch's neck.

"Fine. Get it over with," Medea replied.

"Gag," Clarisse said, sticking her hand out to Rachel.

"What?" Medea questioned as Rachel digged around in her bag. She found a hot pink fluffy scarf and passed it to Clarisse.

"Sorry, had to be resourceful. They didn't exactly have a section for gags that I could find in my ten minute time frame." Rachel said and Clarisse grunted.

She then dug out some string.

I was still focused on the fact that Will was alive. He was alive! I stared into his big blue eyes which gazed into my own. I smiled and grabbed his hand. He squeezed mine and I squeezed back. I took in every detail of him; I memorised his hair, his-

"Nico! Earth to Nico!"
"Huh?"
"Come on! Help! Camp in danger? End of the world? Ring any bells?"
"Ohh. Yeah, right. Sorry," I said and went to help Clarisse tie up Medea.

I helped Will to his feet. He was still wearing the fleece as a sparkling gold jacket. Rachel picked up her backpack and slung it over both shoulders.

"Let's get out of here." I said.

After convincing Medea to make our lives easier for us, she changed the paths of the Labyrinth with the flick of her hand. Immediately, a door appeared in front of us. Rachel ran to it and pressed the mark of Daedalus.

Immediately, the steel door opened and we stepped out into Manhattan.

"Link arms," I said.
"Nico-" Will started.
"Do you want to save camp or not?" He gave me a glare and joined arms with Rachel. Clarisse held my other arm and Rachel grabbed Medea's shoulder on the end.

I pictured Thalia's pine tree and we melted into shadow.

We arrived when a battle was about to start. To our right, there was a herd of various monsters marching towards camp. The monsters were lead by the Nemean Lion.

Dishevelled, bruised and exhausted campers stood in a line where the border was supposed to be. I noticed that there was barely any of them. Will took off the fleece and passed it to me.

Grover and Malcolm stood at the front, talking in hushed tones and the satyr had a bleeding cut on his cheek.

The Nemean Lion then began to charge at the campers lines. Malcolm barely had any time to react. He began to shout panicked orders.

I shadow travelled so I was at the tree and I draped the fleece over a branch. I prayed to Hades that the magic would work.

The Nemean Lion pounced at Malcolm and I shadow travelled in front of the Athena kid. I brought up my stygian iron sword just in time to meet the giant lions jaws.
