"Athena's daughter shall go Tartarus beneath,
A desired item and closed doors they
seek,
An oath is made concerning a final
breath,
But only alone one may exit the Doors of
Death."

Rachel's eyes rolled into the back of her head, and Frank caught her, before sitting her unconscious form on a chair in the corner.

Jason finished writing it down on a notepad, word for word. When he placed the pen down, it sounded like the Apollo cabin at 7am, in comparison to the silence and tension of the room.

Everyone turned to look at Annabeth. Her face was unreadable, her expression so expressionless that she looked dead. And trust me, I would know.

Percy, however, gripped the table so hard that I genuinely thought that wood was going to be crushed as easily as plasticine. There was a pop noise and Leo managed to squeak out "Well there goes the plumbing..."

Annabeth grabbed Percy's hand and the tension eased slightly. They stared at each other for so long that I thought they were speaking telepathically.

Annabeth in Tartarus? Again! It was obviously talking about her, and no matter how much you try to dodge fate and prophecies, they will be fulfilled one way or another. I had been down there less time than them, and that was way more than enough to put me off - and I'm a son of Hades. I used to be sorta awkward around Annabeth, but not any more. She's my good friend and no one deserves Tartarus, let alone twice.

"Dude! Shut! Up!" Percy complained, looking at Grover. The satyr began to look sadly out of the window.

"He... wasn't talking?" Piper said, confused. Frank, Hazel, Calypso, Leo and Jason were also looking at him like he was delusional.

I sighed. "This isn't really a good time but guys, meet Grover. Our best buddy and the same dude that Percy has an empathy link with."

Leo's eyes went as wide as saucers. "Like, speaking and feeling each other telepathically!? That is so cool-." He earned a nudge and a glare from both Piper and Calypso.

"But that's still not fair! Annabeth, you can't go down there again!" Grover bleated. He grabbed Piper'a coke and began to eat the tin can while drinking from it at the same time. I think we need to clear the table before Grover starts properly stress eating.

"It's fine. I'll pack a bag later. A few things for now though: How do I get there? Who will take care of the ring when I'm gone? And also, we need to discuss the prophecy lines. We won't be able to know more or change them, but we should discuss them at least." Annabeth said evenly.

"But you're not going down there on your own!" Percy protested.
"I am," she said, daring him to challenge her.
"But you can't! You know how horrific it was last time."
"Percy, were you even listening? The final line! 'But only alone one may exit the Doors of Death.'"
"So? Prophecies have different meanings."
"I think that's pretty straightforward, Percy. If only one person goes in, then that line doesn't matter! That's a good thing, because it means no monster will follow them when they exit!"
"But you can't go down there on your own."
"I can."
"Can't."
"Can."
"Can't."
"Can."
"Fine."
"Fine."

Annabeth sat back on her chair, arms folded and happy that she won the argument.

But my fatal flaw isn't pride.
