Still stuck behind the counter, they hear a loud arrangement of wood, metal, glass, and tiles being crushed and thrown.
At this point, they figure it's safe to take a peek. As they lift their heads, they become exposed to the cluttered scene before them.
The car previously on display is now flipped into the adjacent mall counter.
As they gaze upon the balcony, they spot El, who is quickly accompanied by Jonathan, Nancy, Will, Max, Lucas, and Mike.
"Holy shit." Angie mumbles with a grin, beyond happy to see her friends, but not truly believing they're even real.
They dash to the bottom of the stairs to meet the rest of the crew halfway.
Dustin laughs as he runs up to El and Mike, "You flung that thing like a Hot Wheel!" He envelopes them in a hug as the others disperse into one big group of greetings.
Erica appears from behind him, "Lucas?"
He gathers a scolding look, "What are you doing here?"
She gestures to Angie and Steve, "Ask them. It's their fault."
Steve takes responsibility as Angie leaps to correct or even reprimand her, "True, yeah. Totally true. It's absolutely our fault."
Robin spins, still awestruck, "I don't understand what happened to that car."
"El has superpowers."
"I'm sorry." Robin turns to Angie for an answer.
Steve jumps in, "Superpowers. She threw it with her mind. C'mon, catch up."
"I thought you said you told me everything." She pouts at her new friend.
Angie provides a small, unsure shrug, "Sorry?"
"That's El?"
"Who's El?" She asks again.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" Nancy peaks around Steve.
"I'm Robin. I work with Steve."
It's Nancy's turn to gaze questioningly towards Angie.
'Are you okay with this?'
'Yeah, she's cool.'
"She cracked the top secret code." Dustin smiles.
"Yeah, which is how we found out about the Russians."
"Russians?" Jonathon speaks up for the first time, "Wait, what Russians?"
"The Russians!" He shouts as if his response makes any more sense than it did the first time.
"Those were Russians?" Max asks wide-eyed.
Erica shrugs nonchalantly, "Some of them."
"What are you talking about?" Lucas flails his arms enthusiasticly.
Dustin seems appalled, "Didn't you hear our code red?"
"Yeah," Mike matches his friend's mild hostility, "but I couldn't understand what you were saying."
"Goddamn low battery." He curses himself softly.
"How many times do I have to tell you with the low battery?" Steve scolds him aggressively.
"Okay. Well, everything worked out, didn't it?"
"For now." Angie mutters in frustration, "You saw how many Russians there were down there. They're just gonna send more after us if we don't hurry up and figure out a plan to get out of here."
