A war between two lovers. a holiday!geno x holiday!reaper story

      Geno violently gasps for air as he is violently thrown to the forest ground . glowing bones stabbed all through his barely in one piece body. Blood drips from his mouth as his still functional eye light looks up in pure dread. In front of him was a man who was once his caring and handsome lover.....now a bloodthirsty monster that wouldn't care if he killed him or not. His fear filled eye light stares at the menacing soulless skeleton's emotionless facial expression.... Ccino was right....reaper was gone.

Reaper violently swings his glowing scythe into the ground barely missing his love by an inch.... He lifts his scythe up one last time violently attempting to slash at his lover's soul. Suddenly geno forces out a fear fueled scream. " REAPER NO!! PLEASE SWEET ASGORE DON'T KILL ME....."Geno felt warm tears go down his face ...forcing himself to continue as he notices Reaper temporarily holding his scythe up.... " W-WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED TO YOU R-REAPER?! WHAT HAPPENED TO THE R-ROMANTIC SKELETON WHO WOULD NEVER HURT ME?! DREAM HAS RUINED Y-YOU!!!" Geno could barely yell through his tears, eventually just breaking down into tears whimpering out. " i-i just want you b-back reaper....." 

   Something seemed to snap back to reaper.....dream's trance temporarily breaking away from reaper's mind....he looks at geno....on the ground bleeding from all his fresh wounds....unable to speak anymore....only able to cry and stay still in pure fear of what reaper haas become. Reaper couldn't bear to see his love in such distress....he learns down to geno . Geno slightly whimpered, scared as reaper gently touched his face with his cold hand. Reaper whispered to geno. "Don't worry my dear....i'm back to normal....for now..."

Geno forces himself to look up at reaper....he felt some relief in his soul seeing finally some emotion on reaper's face.... He suddenly hugs Reaper, letting himself cry even harder. "I-i've missed you reaper...i-i just want the real y-you back...." Reaper sighed gently, rubbing geno's back as he held his love as tight as he can without hurting geno anymore then he already has. " i know you do geno.....i want my real self back as well ... .but ... .we can't have that back yet.....i'm sorry geno..." the two take the moment to cry together. They hadn't been able to hug in two decades....let alone cry together.

   After a couple minutes Reaper forces himself to stop hugging Geno despite not wanting to do so. " geno....i know i'm safe for now...but i don't trust dream to not...find me...i want to atleast get you patched up and rested ... .Do you mind me helping you?" Geno sighed, shaking his head trying to carefully get up leaning on a tree as he did so. " do what you want r-reaper....i rather b-be with you for now ... .even if it's only t-temporary..." Reaper nodded as he gently took Geno's hand leading the two back to their once shared cabin.

    After a couple minutes of walking the two make it to the old cabin. Reaper opens the door looking around.....it looked like nobody even lived there....geno hasn't moved a single thing ever since reaper left....thick layers of dust covering nearly everything besides bits of the kitchen and the sofa....geno must of been sleeping on the sofa....reaper frowned as he walks through the house with geno...saddened to see how physically and mentally broken his beautiful loved had become....barely mentally stable enough to live at this point.

After some walking, Reaper finally gets Geno to the bathroom. Reaper sighed gently sitting geno in the bathtub handing his lover a towel. " go ahead and get undressed.....i'll get some bandages....i want you to get clean first before i bandage you up." geno simply nodded carefully getting his clothes off as reaper goes to the small storage closet in the bathroom grabbing bandages along with a washing sponge and some bubble bath....even if he couldn't be with geno for long...he was going to do his best to make his love feel like royalty for a couple hours.

Reaper walks back over to see Geno ready. He used the towel to cover his body. Reaper sighed as he carefully sat down next to the tub looking at his lover. " geno dear...i hope you don't mind me...giving you a bath....i know you used to love bubble baths to calm yourself down." Geno looked at Reaper, noticing him getting the tub ready.....he missed these times with reaper....reaper despite sometimes being a stupid flirt ... ... ... ..truly knew how to treat his lover with kindness. Geno takes the towel off his body letting Reaper start filling the tub with warm water. Reaper slightly smiled watching geno slowly get more comfortable and relaxed.

    After a minute the tub was fully ready. The bubbles bobbing around in the tub. Geno sighed, feeling his normally sore joints finally relaxing from the warmth. Reaper gets some soap on the sponge and gently starts scrubbing Geno's body making sure every part of his lover was clean . He made sure to take the bone daggers out of geno and gently scrubbed the blood off the wounds. He looked at Geno with his kind smile. " You're always very beautiful when you're comfortable dear ~. " Geno looked at reaper with a smile as a hint of blush covered his cheekbones. He playfully flicks some bubbles at reaper. " and you're not too bad looking when ur happy reaper ~. " both lightly chuckled ... .oh how both of them missed these times.

After a few minutes of cleaning up geno and some fun chatting reaper takes the plug out of the tub letting it drain as he goes to grab geno's robe. Geno starts drying his bones with the towel next to the tub. Reaper after a moment comes over . He wraps geno in the robe before suddenly picking up geno in a bridal esc way. Geno's blush darkens, looking up at reaper slightly flustered. " r-reaper! I can walk on my o-own!" Reaper chuckled watching his lover be a flustered mess. " nope i'm not letting you walk anymore until i have to dear ~. " reaper lightly pecks geno on the skull as geno lets out an adorable flustered huff not willing to admit that he enjoyed reaper's sweet gestures.

     Reaper walks geno into the living room gently placing geno on the sofa and placing the bandages on the coffee table. " Would you like a hot coco dear?" Geno quietly nodded, still quite flustered from being carried by reaper. Reaper smiled as he walked to the kitchen quietly preparing the two hot cocos. As he does so he felt his intrusive negative thoughts filling his mind....he glances at geno with a sad smile....knowing he can't take the chance of staying here.....even if he wanted to... he...he can't risk accidentally hurting geno...or worse...he wouldn't be able to deal with the mental anguish of knowing...that he could hurt or kill his lover at any moment...let alone that dream would be able to find him again....he sighed....after geno finally falls asleep....he needs to leave...at least then he will know that geno was pampered....and happy for at least a moment.

After a couple minutes reaper walks back to the living room with two mugs of hot cocoa. He places the mugs on the coffee table before looking at geno forcing himself to go back to thinking positively as he sits down next to geno. Geno smiled still blushing a bit as he sipped his hot coco. " thank you reaper.....i know that this moment is only temporary ... .but...i'm just glad to be with you again..." reaper sipped his hot coco as he looked at geno.... He gently wraps his arms around Geno holding him . " I promise one day dear...we will be able to be fully together again ... ..we just need to wait... a little longer. " the two give each other sad smiles ... .hoping that reaper was right.  

    After about an hour or so geno was finally asleep on the sofa. Reaper had cleaned up and bandaged Geno's wounds before covering him with blankets to keep his love warm and comfortable. Reaper finishes his hot coco.....dreading the still lingering thoughts in the back of his mind....he knows that he has to leave....he can't risk losing geno thanks to dream......he forces himself up going to wash him and geno's mugs.....he notices more old dishes in the sink....he cleans them as well wanting geno to wake up to at least a clean kitchen.

About half an hour later Reaper walks out of Geno's cabin locking the door......all his joy and happiness leaving his face hearing a menacing hiss of anger behind him. He glares behind him, noticing dream. The snake king . the man despite being shorter and much thinner then reaper ... .seemed to send dread to reaper. The man's robes were pastel colored making him look cute and kind despite being the complete opposite. His corn snake tail wrapped around one of his legs. His closed eyes seem to look up reaper as he speaks in an eerie robotic-like tone with zero hint of emotion. " You failed me death. You are not allowed to defend the enemy." Reaper glares at the figure yelling at dream. " OH SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU FUCKING PRICK-" suddenly dream opens his eyes . his piercing golden eyes seemed to put Reaper in a trance. Suddenly reaper goes silent.....any emotion he had shown before was completely gone from his face....he lifts his head looking at dream as if waiting for a command. Dream shuts his eyes once more . " we need to start planning the au freeze. Come along, reaper." Dream opens a portal with his magic. Reaper follows his boss like a zombie before the portal shuts.
