A beautiful night

     It was a nice warm summer evening. 2d sat at the campfire working on him and ace's dinner of fire roasted venison meat along with some charred vegetables. He would watch the flames crackle as they would give the venison and vegetables a lovely color. As the food finished up cooking 2d would sip on the ice tea next to him while quietly admiring the beautiful colored sunset over him and Ace's little campsite. It looked more like a painting than reality. 2d would let out a sigh with a smile as he wished that he could be out here with ace longer. It felt amazing to get away from comfort!village and into mother nature to enjoy everything it has to show.

As 2d admired the beauty of the mountains, Ace would quickly snap him back into reality. 2d would look over to ace as he brought over more firewood and other stuff from his truck. " Hey 2d, is dinner almost ready? I could smell it from the parking lot! " 2d would slightly chuckle as he comes over taking some of the stuff from ace. " it needs to just cook a bit longer and it should be good. " ace would playfully pout at that. " awhhhhh cmon 2d i don't mind eating stuff that isn't fully cooked! " 2d would look over his shoulder to ace as he calls back. " i ain't gonna kiss someone who ate raw deer meat! " 

      Ace would chuckle at his boyfriend's reaction as he would put some firewood into the pile under the food before sitting on his fold out chair and finishing up dinner for the two. 2d would work on the tent reorganizing some stuff and getting him and Ace's stuff off of the blow up mattress knowing the two are probably going to sleep soon. As 2d reorganized the tent he would grab some paper plates from one of the bags along with the supplies for the smores and his guitar, putting it behind his back to keep it out of his way as he walks back outside to make sure Ace hasn't turned dinner into charcoal.

Ace would look over to 2d as he chuckled. " thanks 2d. I was gonna ask if you could bring me a plate. " 2d would nod as he put his guitar behind his chair gently leaning it on it while putting the smores on a small tv dinner tray the two were using to hold the food off the ground. He hands Ace a plate letting ace fill 2d up a plate. " Do you want any hot sauce or anything 2d? " 2d shook his head as he took his plate. "I'll be fine ace. Thank you though." 2d would use the metal fork and steak knife that he and ace had taken from the studio to start eating his dinner.

This was the first time that 2d had ever had venison. Let alone venison form a deer that ace had freshly killed. 2d would take a big bite of the venison. The tender juicy and rich tasting smoked meat absolutely melted in his mouth. The more gamey and unique taste was very pleasant to 2d's palette. He would take another good chunk of the meat and would eat it with some smoked asparagus and carrot. The roasted vegetables simply just added to 2d's enjoyment. It was like a mini heaven in his mouth. His boyfriend might not be the best cook but he certainly knows how to choose good cuts of meat and almost always has good taste in food. 

    Ace would glance to 2d and slightly chuckle, able to see how much his boyfriend was enjoying the venison. It hadn't even been a couple minutes and 2d had nearly gotten his piece of venison fully down. Ace would slightly joke as he ate his dinner. " I see that you're no longer feeling bad about the deer. " 2d would give Ace a slight glare as he took down his last piece of venison. " you didn't have to kill it in front of me! " Ace would snicker as he would give 2d another piece of venison. " and yet you're still eating it-hey! " 2d would kick Ace's chair, nearly making it tip over and nearly making Ace drop his food. He looks at 2d with a huff. " you're lucky I love you! " 2d would just smirk pretending to be innocent as he finishes up his dinner.

After a couple minutes the two would finish dinner. Ace would grab the two's garbage along with the leftover venison and look at 2d. " I'll be back in a moment 2d. Don't eat all the s'mores without me alright? " 2d chuckled as he looked up from roasting his marshmallow. " eh will see about that. " Ace would just smile as he walks off to go throw out the garbage and put the venison away in the cooler in the truck.

As Ace was gone 2d would look back at the now dark sky. Any sign of the sun completely gone. He would stargaze as he munched on a nice toasty smore taking in the beautiful scenery. Crickets chirp in the background as a crisp summer breeze flows through his hair. 2d takes a deep breath of the smokey smell of the crackling fire and the toasted marshmallow smell coming from the nearly fully devoured smore in his mouth. Oh how he enjoyed time outside and away from the brick walls of the studio. 

      2d would after taking in the beautiful and lovely night would make himself one more smore munching on it. He would then realize...ace has been gone for a while. 2d would take down his smore before getting up from his chair wiping graham cracker crumbs off his light sweatshirt and face. He starts his way to the parking area making sure Ace is doing alright. As he makes his way over he notices...ace in the truck...he was talking to someone on his phone....hmm. 2d was very curious but assumes that Ace just got an unexpected phone call and wanted to answer it away from the campsite. 2d would make his way back to the campsite letting Ace do what he needs to do. 

     As 2d took the time alone to smoke a cigarette and continue to admire his surroundings, Ace would finally make his way back. Ace chuckled as he looked at the smores stuff. " Well I guess you decided to let me have a smore or two huh? " 2d would look up at Ace with a smirk. " nope it's all for me and noodle when we get back- ace! " Ace would suddenly pick up 2d like a bride and spin him around. " well if i don't get a smore then i guess i will embarrass you! " 2d would blush as he playfully kicked his legs in the air. '' ACE LET ME GOOOOO- I'M GOING TO HAVE NOODLE GET REVENGE WHEN WE GET HOME! " Ace is just snickering as he playfully spins 2d around while watching 2d try to get his freedom back and being a flustered mess in his arms.

After a couple minutes of ace being a goof he would finally put 2d back down. 2d would playfully huff as he looks away from Ace with a face absolutely covered with blush. " now you're definitely not getting smores..'' Ace snickered as he came over giving 2d a smooch on the cheek. " Well atleast i have you. " 2d couldn't help but slightly smile at Ace's sweet comment. " you're such a goof ... .but I love you. "

Ace would smile at 2d's response. He sighed gently holding his lover. The two stood in the moonlight. " I've never once regretted joining the band and falling in love with ya 2d. You and the rest of the bad are truly one of the best things that has ever happened in my life. " 2d would just smile while listening to Ace's words as he lays his arms on Ace's shoulders. Ace though would shortly let go of 2d after a moment. 

     2d was confused as he glanced to where ...2d would nearly scream out in pure surprise as he saw...ace on one knee ... .holding a ring box. 2d covers his mouth with his hand letting out a quiet gasp. Ace smiled up at 2d. " This has been quite a long wait for you and me 2d. Finally I can ask you the question I've wanted to ask you for eight years now..." ace would pop the ring box open. A beautiful solid silver ring with a real diamond. Beautiful blue sapphires decorate the rest of the ring. " Stuart Potts, will you marry me and make me the happiest man I can ever be?"

2d was no longer able to hold his emotions in. Happy tears flow down his face as he gives Ace a huge hug, nearly knocking himself and Ace over. " y-yes of c-course I will! I love you a-ace! " Ace and 2d just hug each other on the ground not letting go as both finally were more than just boyfriends. They now where finally engaged after eight years of waiting for this amazing moment. They were no longer boyfriends. They were now fiances.
