the mcdonalds incident

       It was a summer afternoon. Murdoc once again was left to watch after his niece while russell and 2d where out of the house. Russell was doing a big grocery shopping trip to last the month and 2d had gone to a doctor's appointment. Murdoc was currently outside in the bright and very hot sun working on fixing the air conditioner that just crapped out. For once murdoc was wearing something that wasn't pants and a sweater up to his chin. He wore a basic black t-shirt and some cargo shorts using the many pockets to hold his tools while he worked. Murdoc would sip on his now flat hot soda as he worked knowing his niece was fine inside the house alone.

While murdoc was struggling to get some disgusting dead leaves out of the air vent that was blocking any sort of cool air from coming into the studio, noodle would walk out. She was in an adorable bright yellow dress with pink flowers on it that Russell had gotten for her. Her recent mohawk haircut also was decorated with some cute hairpins. Noodle would look at her uncle as she sips on a capri sun that she found in the fridge. Murdoc would notice noodle and sighed, giving her a slightly tired smile while wiping sweat off his face. " You alright kiddo? " Noodle nodded as she finished her drink. "I'm hungry uncle murdoc. " 

     Murdoc would think about that for a second. Well he certainly wasn't in the mood to attempt to cook after basking in the sun since nine in the morning. Murdoc after a couple seconds would question noodle as he got up wiping dirt and whatever else came out of the air conditioner off of him. " where do you want to eat kiddo? " Noodle would perk her head up at the question, always excited to get food out of the house. Without thinking much she would excitedly ask her uncle. " can we go to mcdonalds uncle murdoc? " murdoc nodded. Even if it wasn't his favorite place to eat, honestly any reason to sit in a building with an air conditioner was perfectly fine with him. " Alright kiddo let's get the car. "Noodle looked absolutely thrilled with the biggest smile on her face as she ran to the garage. Murdoc couldn't help but smile as he followed his hyped up niece.

After getting in the car and getting noodle buckled up the two would finally make it to mcdonalds. Noodle was practically hopping around in her seat as she looked in pure joy at the giant play area through the many windows in the playplace area. Murdoc chuckled watching his niece from one of the side mirrors as he unlocked the car. " Alright come on kiddo. Let's get out of this heat. " Noodle would listen to her uncle as she quickly joined him outside the car before taking his hand and walking into the mcdonalds. 

      As the two walked in, Murdoc would sigh in relief feeling the cool air of the air conditioner hit him. Christ that felt amazing after being outside almost all day. Noodle as her uncle went to the registers to order lunch for him and noodle would walk over to the toy display aweing at the many options of what she might get. Murdoc would call out to noodle, getting her attention slightly. " Do you want a girl's toy or a boy's toy kiddo? " noodle would quickly glance at the toy options. She honestly was much less excited about a dumb barbie toy and wanted the cool pokemon toys that were being given out as the boy's toy. She would call back to her uncle. " I want the boy's toy uncle murdoc! " murdoc would simply nod to that as the employee finishes the process with murdoc.

After a couple minutes and grabbing their sodas and food murdoc and noodle made their way to the playplace. Luckily due to it being a weekday where most parents were working, noodle and murdoc had the place to themselves and wouldn't have to deal with screaming children and rude parents. Noodle was even more thrilled to for once have free reign of the brightly colored child kingdom of tubes and slides . murdoc would somehow manage to squeeze his beer gut and big butt in one of the small seats at one of the smaller tables. Noodle would giggle watching her uncle struggle which would just get an eye roll from murdoc at least glad to know that his niece was getting a kick out of his bad decision.
