Stu had already lived in cozy!cove for about two years now. Him and his group of neighbors have truly become a giant family. Even Noodle sees him as a big brother now. He can't count the times that he and noodle have had cute sleepovers or have just hung out together. Though tonight was a much less positive experience for stu. Outside was a giant tropical storm. Russell had mentioned that it was certainly one of the bigger storms that he has seen in the many decades that he and Del have lived here. Though Russell had reassured Stu that this town was pretty used to bad weather so everything should be fine. It was around midnight and Stu was on the sofa. The loud winds and other noises had kept stu up so he was doing his best to distract himself by drinking a beer and watching whatever he could find on the still working channels.

As stu tried to distract himself from the loud and powerful winds outside he would suddenly jump. As a powerline is violently forced down by a falling tree outside all of stu's lights go out in less then a second. Stu was forced into the pitch black as the only light in the house became the small bit of light coming from street lamps outside his front window. Stu looks around startled.....normally he wasn't an easily scared guy....but....having this silent darkness forced onto him.... And not being able to see his surroundings....made him a bit nervous.

Stu quickly would reach out to the coffee table in front of him shuffling stuff around on it before finally finding his flip phone....he hoped that he could get some service....as he does his best to patiently wait for any sort of service on his phone he walks around his apartment using the phone's screen as a light to cut through the dark abyss. Despite it not really being the best idea to go sit in his car...Stu was genuinely too nervous to stay in his home ...having a feeling that ...this black out wasn't the only danger about to show its ugly head.

As Stu walked around grabbing a few items he would possibly need a loud noise catches his attention. Another tree had fallen. This time though...it was right through Stu's roof. Stu looks over in slight panic. The massive tree had luckily not slammed into anything important but...still. Stu for a moment was frozen stiff. He definitely no longer felt safe staying in the house. He watched as rain poured into his apartment soaking anything it made contact with. Stu quickly grabs a trash can from next to his desk and puts it where the rain was mainly coming from. He knew that it wouldn't do much but he needed it to do it until he's able to get out. Stu grabs anything else that was important before he rushes out of his apartment covering himself and his stuff with one of his jackets as he runs to his car.

After what felt like many minutes but was only around 30 seconds Stu gets to his car. He quickly throws his stuff in the backseat before getting in the front and slamming his car door shut. He sighed in slight relief finally being out of his now destroyed apartment. He takes a moment to allow himself to breath....he then notices some bars of service finally show up on his phone. Oh thank fucking asgore. Stu knew that del and Russell were already asleep.....and he hated to bug murdoc...especially when he's at his work ... .but...he knows that his car is not adapted for this weather ... .and....he didn't feel safe being alone. Stu would quietly go through his contacts before finding Murdoc's number. He clicks it and does his best to patiently wait for Murdoc to pick up his phone.

Meanwhile despite the massive storm murdoc was forced to work a graveyard at his horrid fast food job. He was stocking up massive bags of frozen foods despite no customers being insane enough to come to a mcdonalds in this type of weather. Murdoc absolutely despised this job....but...he needs to pay his fucking bills somehow. As Murdoc shoved bags of frozen fries into some giant freezers he felt his flip phone vibrate in his work pant's pocket. He was definitely surprised that anyone could even get enough service to call in this mess. Murdoc pulls out his phone and becomes even more surprised to see Stu's number. Something must have happened....stu doesn't randomly call for no good reason. Murdoc quickly answered the call. " Hey stu. Is something wrong?"
