strangers ( kieran valantine x spelldon cauldronello)

       It hadn't even been a couple weeks and Kieran was already regretting letting his mother talk him into leaving New Orleans to join this sorority. Despite his mother's wishes for him to make fellow monster friends, Kieran wasn't having any luck with that wish in the slightest. From his roommates either being loud party animals or him just not seeing them at all due to classes being in this sorority felt more like a punishment to the young vampire then a chance to meet other monsters his age.

As Kieran sat in his shared bedroom he would hear the door creak open making his back become tense and his long pointy ears to perk up. His roommate would walk in. a much more relaxed and friendly fire imp monster. Despite his friendly and not hostile in the slightest interactions kieran wasn't ... .as easily friendly back. The guy would wave to kieran as he walked in to see kieran at his desk in the room working on some homework. " heya kieran. You do know that it's the weekend right? Whatcha doing wasting a night working on boring homework- WOAH CALM DOWN! " out of some sort of fear instinct kieran would snarl at his roommate showing off his very sharp fangs like a dog ready to attack. "Leave me alone heath! I'm fine! " 

      Kieran after less then a second seemed to realize how aggressive his response was...seeing heath nearly slamming into the wall to keep a safe distance from him would snap kieran out of his animalistic instinct as he shook his head. " i'm sorry heath...i..." keiran honestly didn't know how to even begin to explain to the unsettled fire imp what had just gone through his mind...he sighed as he grabbed his work and gently pushed past heath. " i'm so sorry..." as kieran would walk out to go find a calmer place to do his work heath would watch from the doorway...was kieran scared of him or something? He honestly wished that kieran would just talk to him about this...he didn't like feeling like his roommate hated being around him.

Luckily due to it being the weekend most of the others were out having fun or sneaking around to say hi to the ladies in the other sorority on the other side of the campus. Kieran sat in the living room alone listening to music from his I-coffin to calm himself down as he would work on finishing off the homework. As valentine had his head in his studies heath would walk by in his jacket he had been coming to pick up. He would glance at kieran...despite being tempted to ask him if he wanted to go get some fresh air and hang out at the other sorority with some of the other guys...he honestly didn't want to see how much more aggressive kieran could get when spooked. He would silently walk out as he goes to see what chaos the others are causing. 

       After about twenty minutes kieran had completely finished his homework. Despite most students being thrilled to be done with homework....kieran just saw it as losing another distraction for him to use for himself. He would look around the house...wondering what the others are honestly doing...probably something he would ruin the fun of with his social awkwardness. Being a closested momma boy definitely didn't mix well with the wildness of college... Kieran was already feeling uncomfortable in the quiet house...he forces himself to go outside while lifting his hood on his cloak to keep the slowly setting sun off his face.

Meanwhile in town a fellow sorority member was out doing some necessity shopping for the sorority house. Despite his broom being slightly weighed down by the giant bags of groceries, Spelldon knew he honestly was going to be the only reason the house had food for the week after this weekend. Living off ramen and stale chips from weekend parties last week wasn't very pleasant. He would notice the campus nearly under him and would quickly make his landing into the sorority parking lot making sure to not bump into anyone's cars or the building itself.

As kieran watched the sunset over the house for the night he would notice a person on a magical broom making a landing to the sorority house. Kieran would quickly move out of the way preferring to not get smacked upside the head with a heavy wooden broom. Spelldon would notice kieran moving and sighed with a chuckle. " Sorry if I almost ran into you. Trying to get used to landing in this parking lot is a lot more annoying than landing in a giant front yard. " Spelldon would give kieran a friendly smile. He honestly while getting to know his other roommates and being in classes hadn't met kieran at all yet. 

         Kieran as spelldon made friendly conversation with him would look up at least wanting to be as pleasant as he can be to the stranger. Before kieran could get a single word out...he felt his words completely leave his mind. Despite never even having the chance to meet Spelldon until now...kieran would feel his soul flutter in his chest as he looked at the only slightly taller warlock in front of him. He honestly didn't know what had caused the reaction....from the pale light green skin tone....to the naturally curly black hair with purple and orange streaks....and not to mention to oddly...eye catching and unique punk fashion sense spelldon was quite fond of wearing....kieran would stand there in pure silence as a tint of red showed on his pink toned skin. 

     Spelldon would notice kieran's rather odd expression. Mouth slightly agape as if he was trying to say something but just couldn't quite manage to get it out. Spelldon would also notice the blush brushed onto kieran's face as the vampiric monster blankly stared at spelldon seeming to be in his own little world. Spelldon would gently wave his hand in front of kieran's blood red eyes hoping to get the poor guy back to normal. " uhm you alright dude? " kieran would quickly snap back into reality as he looked up at spelldon's slightly bewildered expression. He nodded as he took a deep breath to try to relax. " yeah...i'm fine...sorry about that...uhm..." kieran would quickly look at the groceries. " Do you need help with the groceries? " spelldon nodded as he gave Kieran a friendly smile. "Sure. It'll be way faster than doing it alone anyways. " kieran would nod with a small smile as he grabbed some of the bags gently off the broom...what is going on? He had never responded to anyone like that before.

As Kieran would help spelldon put some groceries away spelldon decided to make some small talk. " I don't think we've met yet. I'm spelldon. " kieran would glance over to spelldon as he worked on putting some frozen food away. "I'm kieran. Kieran valentine. You can call me by either name though. " Spelldon would listen to kieran with a smile. "It's nice to meet you valentine. I don't think I've ever heard a name like yours before. It's really beautiful and unique." kieran would slightly blush at spelldon's compliment. Spelldon would decide to ask kieran more questions wanting to know more about a guy he would be living with for at least a year if not longer. 

     " So why did you join the sorority anyways? I haven't seen you talking to the other guys or at the female sorority house. " Kieran would sigh as he finished up restocking the house with spelldon. "My mom wanted me to make fellow monster friends. I was homeschooled by her most of my life in my home town New Orleans since there aren't many monster friendly schools there. I'm just not used to...well people my age...let alone fellow monsters." spelldon would quietly listen to kieran. " that sounds pretty rough. No wonder I haven't seen you around much.." Spelldon would take a moment to think as he threw away some grocery bags before giving kieran an offer. " If you want you can watch a movie with me. I don't know what you're into but if i'm honest i need a break from partying. Last weekend was enough for me for a little while. "

Keran would think about it for a moment before nodding with a smile. " sure. I'll warn you that you might not like my movie preferences though. " spelldon would slightly chuckle as he questioned. "What is your preference then? " kieran would sigh as he and spelldon sat on the couch. "I love romantic movies and musicals. I know it's cheesy " Spelldon would look at kieran with a shrug and chuckle. "Well, I'm always willing to check out something new. " spelldon would toss kieran the remote letting him choose.
