        It was an early morning in late november. The band was on the slightly slushy and icy road as they made their way to the mall. As Murdoc kept his eye on the road not needing to damage the car on the frosted over roads Russell would glance to the back seat at noodle questioning her. " Are you sure you don't want anything in particular for Christmas kiddo? " Noodle glanced up at her dad looking away from her ipod. She shook her head with a chuckle. " I'm good dad. I would really rather buy my own gifts with money. You and uncle murdoc don't need to get me anything else. "

Murdoc as they were stopped at a red light would glance behind as well. " welp you're getting bloody coal then. Murdoc joked with noodle with a slight smirk on his face. Noodle would give a pout as her uncle teased her. " I haven't been bad though! " murdoc would chuckle as he let out a smart remark. "Making me and Russ's Christmas shopping more difficult is very naughty- SHUT THE BLOODY HELL UP I'M MOVING! " murdoc would growl at the car honking behind him as the light barely was green for less then a second. Noodle couldn't help but giggle at her uncle's drastic change in tone. Russell and 2d would both crack a smile at murdoc's entertaining road rage. 

       After a couple more minutes of trying to maneuver through the holiday travelers and last minute thanksgiving shoppers the band finally made it to the mall. Due to it not only being early in the morning but also due to it being mere days away from thanksgiving it was quite empty today at the mall. The band get out and walk into the front entrance next to the food court and mini arcade and the massive collection of children's quarter machines that were randomly placed in the middle of the mall. 2d would look at murdoc and russell. " well see you two in a while. We're still going to meet up in the food court right? " Russell nodded. "Yep. See you two later. Come on mudz. " the two groups would go their separate ways in the massive mall.

2d and noodle would make their way to the arcade knowing they had a lot of time to blow off while murdoc and russell worked on christmas shopping. The two were quite used to the never changing machines to the point where they didn't even have to look at the machines to know what part of the arcade there in. both would put five bucks into the quarter machine before juggling the small mountains of quarters in their hands. Noodle would notice the basketball machine and point it out to 2d with a smirk. " Remember the last time when you lost and had to buy me lunch? " 2d would look over ... .oooh he had an idea on how to win this time. He would look at his younger sister. " how about we do a bet again? If i win you have to go take a picture with santa and we have to let russell put it on the fridge and if you win i'll let you take a photo of me with your flip phone while i ride one of the quarter machines. " noodle would give a cocky grin at the deal. " hell yeah let's do it! " both would speed walk to the basketball machine as noodle was ready to take the embarrassing photo of her big brother. 

      As the two siblings were ready to embarrass each other with much more than just failing a dumb arcade game russell and murdoc where absolutely lost as they looked around at the many stores around them. Russell would question Murdoc as he tried to think of what his daughter would like. " What should we get for noodle mudz? I haven't shopped for her since she turned thirteen and asked me if she could buy her own clothes. " Murdoc would sigh with a shrug as he listened to the annoying repeating Christmas songs going through the mall. "I don't have a bloody clue. We should have asked Stu where they go when they're shopping together. " As the two walked on the very clean tile floors Russell would pause at the store Claire's . He used to take noodle there all the time when she was little. Especially when she wanted fun earrings and hair accessories. He points it out to murdoc. " Maybe we can find something here that noodle would like. She used to love this place. " Despite Murdoc not really knowing how he feels about going into a shop made for young girls, it was for his niece. He nods as he follows Russell into the shop that looked like a rainbow nightmare.
