Chapter 3: Flowing Tears

"Y/n, over here!" Bosacius wave to his fellow yaksha.

"Y/n, you're back." Indarias added with a sigh of relief.

Y/n's expression became a little brighter when she saw that she was greeted by her comrades, but at the same time, Y/n's face looked a little tense, she didn't seem to fully let go the pressure that had come with her duties. However, her mood became better as soon as she recognized her companions.

Indarias, Bonanus, Menogias, Alatus and lastly is Bosacius— being the yaksha who have spent the longest time in Liyue.

They are very familiar with Y/n's behavior and that she always needs time to relax after going through an important mission.

"...Hey, you two. Where are the others?" Y/n asked as she gave her fellow yaksha a small smile.

Her face was still somewhat serious, but the yakshas did not have any worries about it because they knew exactly what was she going through right now and Y/n's most likely the youngest between the yakshas.

Indarias looked at her with a little concern in her eyes before speaking to her.

"Alatus just left a few minutes ago. He was the first one to leave since he had an unfinished business to take care of. Bonanus followed soon after, and Menogias was asked to do something for Rex Lapis."

"...I see... How are things back at the Chasm?"

Bosacius didn't reply to Y/n's question and only placed his arm around her shoulder and grinned, saying that she shouldn't be worried about it which made Y/n glad to hear that nothing happened back at the Chasm while she was away. It seemed like her comrades really took care of the problem.

Y/n then thought about something else.

"I think I will take a bit of rest. I'm a little worn out by everything that happened in Liyue and while traveling to Fontaine."

Y/n's comrades followed her path, and they seemed to understand her need to take a well break. It's good to be back after the mission as she felt much more safer now with her fellow yakshas around her.

Indarias gave her a small pat on her shoulder before finally Y/n was able to step into her room.

After she gained a bit of rest, she then head back to what she do best— fighting off the monsters that's invading Liyue.

Y/n spent several days fighting the monsters that invaded Liyue while her fellow yakshas' were assisting her in battle; they were giving her support and protection from the enemies.

As many days went by, the amount of monsters increased, making it much more crucial to get rid of these enemies as soon as possible. Every mission and every monster Y/n fought, made her bond with her fellow yakshas' stronger, but it also made her feel more exhausted and exhausted, thus the reason why she slept often after battle.

"...Get up." Alatus said bluntly.

Y/n opened her eyes after hearing those harsh words from Alatus. She didn't expect it that Alatus would wake her up in such manner, which made her feel a bit startled.

The yaksha's sharp voice and his cold behavior made her flinch hence she got up slowly from the bed and wondered why Alatus decided to wake her up all of a sudden.

"What is it?" Y/n asked him.

"Rex Lapis has requested your presence at the meeting." He said shortly then left.

It seemed like it was time for her to go to the meeting once again. Alatus did not explain to Y/n any more details, but his words were enough for her to get ready to meet with Rex Lapis.

Y/n took some time to make some preparations, making sure that her appearance looks good enough for the meeting is important. After that, she quickly went to meet with the Lord of Geo.

"You wanted to see me..?" She asked the Geo Archon.

"Yes, Yingxue, I need you to keep an eye on the situation outside during our meeting."

As she was following Morax's instructions, she was also hearing the news that was being told at the meeting. For some reason, she felt more curious about the topics of the meeting than ever, but it was only natural since the Geo Archon was talking to her.

Although Y/n felt like nothing could interest her more than her fighting skills, but hearing these news about the outside world did make her feel more anxious but in a different way.

Y/n was still in the shadows, watching as the Archons gathered for the meeting. She noticed Furina when she was walking toward the meeting room, looking like her usual self.

Even though Y/n saw that she was in her usual elegant outfit, there was something that was missing. Or more like something that was missing in her demeanor. The Hydro Archon's expression was rather strange, but Y/n could not figure out exactly what was lacking in her. Nevertheless, she continued to watch Furina during the meeting with the other Archons.

After the meeting has ended and the Archons' had departed one by one, Y/n was about to report that nothing unusual have occurred to Morax but stopped on her tracks when she heard some faint sounds that was coming by the lake.

Y/n had to figure out what was making that sounds in order to see if it was a potential threat or not. So she listened closely, trying to understand what it was.

Once Y/n realized that the sound was coming closer to her, so did she become alert. She slowly peeked out from where she was hiding and carefully scanned her surroundings. However,
whatever she was hearing, it was still pretty far away hence she quietly sneak her way towards the sound and couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"Is that... the Hydro Archon..?" Y/n asked herself as she saw Furina weeping on the ground while looking at her reflection above the lake.
