Chapter 17: Perception

[Y/n's PoV]

As I've been ready to face the meka gardes for the final battle to prove my innocence, I had to stay on my toes and focus on the current threat at bay.

The first group of meka gardes has been destroyed. Their metal bodies that are used to capture me have been scattered everywhere on the ground. These destroyed pieces of metal are a clear example of my immense powers that can take these threats down with a snap of my fingers.

I've defeated another batch of meka gardes that are trying to attack and apprehend me to prove for my wrongdoings. But the threat is still not over, as more of these mechanical guards have come up and approached me, making a final stand for their leader, who is currently leading the whole operation.

My alertness and reflexes had kicked in the moment I noticed her coming in, she's the one that's trying to neutralize me with a tranquillizer gun as my eyes slowly turn to her and she raised her gun to point it directly towards my heart.

I'll soon fall prey to her if I can't stay on my toes. The meka gardes continued to approach me, trying to make a final stand to capture me at all cost so they would try to distract me from Clorinde that's trying to put me down with the tranquillizer gun.

The meka gardes had been completely eliminated and only the human guards remained as they approached me as well as they have been trained and equipped in advance to capture me.

My immense powers as a yaksha had rendered their attacks to be ineffective, yet I can only try to avoid each of their attack since there are still human. I've then noticed Clorinde approaching me a bit closer than before as she's about to fire the tranquillizer bullet to restrain me.

She aimed precisely, predicting my movement as she shot the tranquilizer, hitting my shoulder, though I didn't seem to be paralyzed from it, I'm now currently trying to resist it.

But the fact that I can still maintain my mobility despite the tranquilizer bullet hitting me is quite a feat indeed. The effects is slowly seeping in my body as I can definitely feel my body beginning to tire out; my movements becoming sluggish and my thoughts becoming fuzzy.

"...Urgh... Blindness humans." I whispered.

My own resistance against the tranquilizer bullet is quite an achievement as I can still hold on for a moment. However, the tranquilizer bullet had begun to seep into my veins and I can slowly feel the effects are consuming me.

"Lumine... Paimon..."

As I closed my eyes and let out a deep gasp for air, I have lost all resistance from the effects of the tranquilizer as the tiredness and sleepiness was beginning to creep in. My body began to lose its strength as my mind slowly fades away. And before everything could finally be pitch black, the last word that came of out of my vocal cord was calling out their name as the last thing I'll remember before being fully unconscious.

Y/n was captured as they gave her to Neuvillette before a trial was about to begin. After they revealed the yaksha's face by removing her mask, Neuvillette was shock to see her.

"Where did you find her?" He asked.

"We found her in Poisson when a man approached us and told that she started taking the newly dispatched gardes down. As we go and see her, she said she was with a blonde traveler from which she confirms it to be Lumine before she passed out, but we didn't believe her since she was the only one who we found."

"Judging from her outfit, she doesn't seem to be from Fontaine. She quite put up a fight with the meka gardes that I have no choice but to immobilize her. Her movements, prowess, and abilities doesn't seem to be a human so she could be a potential threat."
