[Furina's PoV]

I froze when I heard that question. My body became stiff, and my expression turned to a shock. My hands were still placed on Y/n's body, yet my eyes are now widening. I'd never expected that response from her.

Is this a joke..?

Does she not recognize who I am?

I was puzzled for a moment. How could Y/n not remember me after all the time that we've spent together?

I stared at her for a while and when I decide to answer, Neuvillette stumped his spectre on the ground.

"Order! Let me remind you that the trial is still on going. Now, Furina, if you do believe that this young woman is innocent show us your evidence." Neuvillette states.

"Huh? But isn't she, fighting the mekas' even when we're on court not prove of her actions in Poisson? Monsieur-"

"Silence. Each party has there turn." Neuvillette shushed him.

I was about to say something about the evidence being not delivered yet but luckily, the Traveler arrives and show them the evidence of Y/n's innocence.

I sighed with relief that the evidence has been finally delivered to this trial. I know that Y/n will get out of this unscathed if the Traveler and her companion provided enough solid proofs of her innocence, and with the proof currently given to Neuvillette, her chances of getting out of this situation are now increased by several folds.

Later...

As things calm down with Y/n unfreezing Clorinde and both individuals asking for an apology, Neuvillette task someone to survey the evidence of the clip being presented.

Once the court had received confirmation that what had been seen on the footage was the truth and that no one else can prove otherwise, the outcome is already decided. Y/n was considered innocent and she was not responsible for what happened to the mekas' in Poisson.

I heaved a sigh of relief when I heard that the final verdict was given. A wave of happiness washed over me as I thought about what would happen to Y/n if she was found guilty? I knew that the punishment would be bad.

After the trial ends, Lumine and Paimon beamed in delight as they faces Y/n and me.

"Sorry that we were a bit late. Oh and it seems you already meet Furina. Neuvillette said to us that he'll be inviting someone as Y/n's attorney, but who would have thought that the person was none other than Furina herself."

I looked back at Y/n who had now started to interact with Paimon and Lumine and was impressed by how quickly her demeanor changed back to her normal one. Her calm and composed personality once again returned as she talks to the both of them.

I let out a sigh of relief when I saw this, it seems like the trial's outcome has really changed the mood of Y/n. I approached them all to which Y/n fixed her gaze at me.

"Furina, huh?" Y/n asked as a small smile was plastered on her lips.

"Yup! Furina this is-"

"General Yingxue or goes by the name Y/n, I know." I said making the two of them confused.

"Huh? Wait- so you were the one who stopped Y/n from creating more chaos earlier?" Paimon asked.

I chuckled a bit as I noticed how surprised everyone in the group was when they learned that I already knew Y/n's identity.

"Yes, I did. I know Y/n well from the past. I suppose Neuvillette didn't mention that to any of you, but Y/n was my... friend..." I explained, whispering the last part out.
