Before leaving Liyue, Y/n explained the situation to her fellow yakshas to which they agreed so easily— well, except for Alatus.

Y/n then head to the nation of hydro as a new environment tackles her.

The beautiful nation of hydro was something new to her. The blue skies, calm waters, and the unique architecture made this nation a sight to behold as Y/n arrived and wandered through this land.

As she wandered, she could hear different people conversing about their lives, along with seeing and experiencing how the people lived in the nation. It made the entire nation have a vibrant and lively atmosphere.

There, Y/n met the goddess of Hydro once more as Furina invites her to the Palais Memornia. When she asked Y/n why she was there in her nation, the yaksha only told her that she was 'task' by Morax to stay here in Fontaine for a little bit longer.

Over the past few months with the Hydro Archon, she and Furina share a close bond with each other even though their personalities are quite different from one another.

Moreover, Furina can be herself with Y/n when no one else was around which made the goddess happy.

She felt comfortable around the yaksha and was able to talk about topics that she wouldn't usually talk about with others alone, which she enjoyed. However, Y/n could easily notice the difference between Furina's formal self and her when she is being herself with Y/n, which was an interesting contrast.

Today, while Y/n was walking inside of the Archon's room, the yaksha noticed she was not there but only to be surprise as she felt Furina's arms suddenly wrapped around her in a warm embrace from behind. The goddess was smiling at her with that small playful glint in her eyes, as Y/n could feel Furina's gentle breath against the back of her neck.

However, Y/n only heave a sigh before unwrapping her arms and turn to face her with her arms crossed.

"Furina, we talked about this— you shouldn't get too close to me because of my karma."

The Archon's smile faded upon hearing Y/n mention again about her Karma.

"So you do not even wish for me to simply hold you?" Furina asked, sounding a little disappointed and saddened, with her voice getting a little softer and quieter.

Her expression also became slightly gloomier, not wanting to cause trouble to Y/n with her actions.

"...That's not what I meant... I know that you have your resistance to this kind of thing, but still... You know it's just my way of protecting you since my karmic dept is not to be taken lightly."

"Yes, I am aware of the consequences of holding you... However, despite knowing that, I actually wish to hold you. I know it sounds reckless but... I still want you close by."

Furina then clasped Y/n's hands with hers.

"Please... Let me hold you." She said softly as she looked at the yaksha with her gentle oceanic eyes, which was filled with pleading.

She wanted Y/n to let her hold the yaksha, regardless of the consequences it may have on her.

Y/n hesitated a bit before she sighs in defeat and flicked Furina's forehead. She then sat on the Archon's' bed while Furina soon follows. They were both comfortable in silence as Furina rested her head on Y/n's lap, and the yaksha was playing with the goddess' soft and silky hair.

The gentle movements of her fingers, combined with the silence, helped Furina relax herself as she enjoyed this sensation. Sometimes, she even had closed eyes when this happened, as she felt peace within herself with the comfort Y/n gave to her in silence and through her actions alone.

"Furina, I have a question to ask, if you wouldn't mind."

When she heard Y/n ask if she wouldn't mind the question, she let out a small hum and nodded her head.

"...If there'll come a time that I might lost my sanity and succumb to evil, would you believe me in telling you that I wouldn't hurt you?"

Furina sat there silent for a couple of moments as the thought of the possibility of Y/n losing her sanity and succumbing to her karma ran in Furina's head. All the possible dangers and consequences were rushing through her mind, making her slightly worried if it was possible.

"I believe you..." Furina replied, still closing her eyes.

"You believe me..? So you trust me that much with your life then?" Y/n asked with a curious gaze.

"...Well, I know your karma is not something to be taken lightly... I know it could possibly result in you losing your sanity and cause you to act out of character, which would then cause you to hurt everyone around you."

"If such a terrible situation were to happen, then your body could be severely damaged by your karma and your mental state would be severely affected by the karmic debt itself."

"But what I said before still remains the same, I do trust you. Despite how much damage your karma can have on others or to yourself— I wish to stay by your side no matter what."

Y/n was surprised to hear the goddess say that as though she had thought about this question over and over to her head from the past since there's not even a sign of hesitation as she said those words.

"Then may I ask you a personal question, Furina?"

"...Yes, you may..." Furina replied, opening her eyes as she looked at the yaksha while still sitting on her lap, a small smile on her face, wanting to hear the personal question Y/n had on your mind.

Y/n hesitated a bit before taking a deep breath and look directly at Furina's eyes below her.

"...Would you believe me, if I say that I wish to be with you at this point?"

The moment Y/n asked that, the Archon's heart stopped for a moment. Her face showed signs of surprise, shock and bewilderment as she lay there in stunned silence.

"W-what did you just say..?"

Y/n looked away from her for a moment, embarrassed to have her repeat those words to Furina again but she gathered up some courage once more before cupping the Archon's cheek with her hand.

"In short..."

"...I love you."

Furina was absolutely speechless upon hearing those three words that Y/n just said to her. Her cheeks had slightly flushed, her heartbeat started slightly beating even faster, and her pupils slightly dilated at the sight of the yaksha cupping her hand on her cheeks and looking directly at her eyes.

Furina was frozen in place, wanting to believe those words but not wanting to accept them at the same time.

Finally, Furina sat up, though her gaze was downcast as if she was avoiding Y/n's own eyes. Then she slowly removed the yaksha's hand away from her cheek and gave Y/n a bittersweet smile.

"Y/n... I'm sorry..."
