Y/n left the meeting and joined the other yakshas to clear the filth and demons on the area, but she was only met with despair when she saw her fellow yakshas were given unto their rage, others unto madness which fear mongered as they turned to slaughter one another.
The sight Y/n witnessed was something she thought would never happen to any of the yakshas, but unfortunately it had occurred and was happening right there in front of her eyes. She was at a loss of words and did not know how to respond to the situation.
It was chaotic and bloody, which she didn't expect to happen at all. They were no longer in their right mind anymore, and their actions had become utterly uncontrollable.
Y/n could sense the bloodlust from the fallen yakshas as they were readying themselves to attack her. Their eyes were filled with hatred and their voice was filled with wrath and anger which made them sound like a completely different person overall. Although Y/n didn't have the courage to fight them— her family.
When they rushed towards Y/n, someone suddenly blocked their attacks in front of her— it was Alatus and it seemed that he was the only one left.
"Focus on the battlefield, Y/n." Alatus commanded.
This sudden moment of Alatus saving Y/n from their fellow yakshas caught her by surprise, but it was just enough to remind her about the main objective of the mission. Y/n couldn't dwell on the situation any longer, so she quickly tried to snap herself out of the situation, while also acknowledging the fact that Alatus was still alive and standing strong.
Even after Alatus had saved her, the yakshas continued to attack him in a fit of rage. Alatus did have some trouble fending off the yakshas, but in the end he was able to come out victorious. He stood on top of the fallen yakshas before looking over at Y/n.
"...Bonanus, Indarias, and Menogias all perished, but I haven't seen Bosacius anywhere..." Y/n said to him.
Alatus sighed and lowered his head as Y/n mentioned three of their fellow yakshas who had already perished. Although her previous encounter with them was rather unpleasant, Y/n still felt a sense of sadness about Bonanus, Indarias, and Menogias.
With that, Alatus finally responded back to her.
"No signs of Bosacius. I also heard no signals of him."
"...If he's alive... then there's three of us, but if he's not... Then there's only the two of us left..." Y/n muttered.
"...And the two of us still need to continue to accomplish our objective." Alatus replied to Y/n, his tone becoming slightly serious and his gaze shifting away towards the demons ahead.
Although the situation is now extremely difficult, Y/n still chose to fight despite everything that happened to the yakshas who were her fellow comrades.
Both Y/n and Alatus did not let the circumstances of the situation get the best of them. The two of them still proceeded to fulfill the mission, fighting together side by side to complete their objective. Neither of them gave up or fled from the battlefield as she continued to fight the demons along with Alatus.
After a while of battle, the fight was finally concluded successfully. After defeating the demon, the two of them stood there silently as they both tried to catch their breath— neither of them said anything to one another.
All they could hear was the sounds of each other's heavy breathing. The once chaotic and deafening battlefield was now eerily silent and still, but at the same time, Y/n's mind was filled with questions about the other fallen yakshas. She couldn't even imagine what happened to Bosacius to begin with.
