Chapter 14: A New Journey

[Y/n's PoV]

After taking Morax's words, I depart from Liyue with the guidance of Xiao giving me the route to Fontaine to start off my journey.

With Xiao giving me proper guidance, I was able to head to Fontaine right away. The scenery along the way did really change much as it still gives me that mystical vibe that was so unique to the land of Justice in terms of architecture. Finally, I have arrived at Fontaine, and after entering the territory, I could begin to sense the strong presence of hydro energy inside this territory.

As I venture through Fontaine, it was rather intriguing to see that the architecture was quite similar to Liyue which was rather familiar to me. The only difference was that the buildings were more advanced in design and made it look more artistic which added to the overall beauty of the city.

The sky was crystal clear and the water was crystal blue. It was definitely a sight to behold.

As I walked through the city, I felt the presence was becoming more intense yet comforting to be around with.

"Now that I'm in Fontaine, where shall I head now? And where... do I find that traveler Rex Lapis mentioned..?"

Morax did say to find this specific blonde traveler and her companion and that should be my next priority in order to reach the ultimate truth behind the mystery I'm looking for.

As I was wondering, I was met by a group of shady people chasing someone out of the city and there I noticed that it was the blonde traveler along with her companion.

It was just as Morax have described it. The blonde traveler and her floating companion were being chased by a group of shady people, obviously, they wanted to catch the both of them and probably bring them somewhere else.

I didn't hesitate and quickly rushed towards them and stopped these shady people to prevent them from going after that blonde traveler who is most likely the one Morax was referring to this whole time.

I put on my yaksha mask and quickly knocked those people out in a flash to where the blonde traveler become surprised that they were no longer people who's chasing them.

They had their eyebrows raised up as if they have seen a ghost or a god. Perhaps they were astonished of the strength I possess within my body. I didn't really mind their reaction and just asked them one thing.

"You both seem to be really surprised by what had just occurred, may I ask you why?"

Upon hearing this, that blonde traveler finally snapped out of her trance-like state and then finally spoke.

"Who are you?" The blonde traveler asked as she raises her sword at me.

Perhaps she and her companion have looked at me in suspicion after they saw me in action and were a bit intimidated by the presence of my yaksha mask. So I lowered my mask and introduced myself.

"General Yingxue, one of the six yakshas of Rex Lapis."

When I finally revealed myself, the blonde traveler was the first to be in disbelief as though she was wondering if this is some sort of trick.

"General... General Yingxue?"

That's when the blonde traveler finally snapped out of her disbelief state.

"...I've heard about you when the Geo Archon- or rather Zhongli mentioned your name to us while we're in Liyue, but we thought that the only yaksha left of the six is Xiao."

I see...

"So you know Rex Lapis' identity as well, huh? It seems that he trust you that much. Hmm, no wonder he tasked me to go and look for you." I said.
