It was Thursday now, and MePhone had just got done with catching up with his routine, despite still being low on energy, he was trying. Things were... Almost back to normal, but he still was having a hard time with his emotions, and... Well, the cat hadn't really left. He tried letting it back out, and it went back out occasionally, but over all, remained inside. This was something to adjust to. Right now, he was sitting out in the living room, watching it roll around on the carpet.

"You're a moocher, aren't you," MePhone narrowed his eyes, though not seriously. "You're just here for the food, and then you're gonna run off the next time I feed you. I see right through this silly little act. You aren't going to fool me." He just watched it give a brief glance towards him, before continuing its rolling on the nice living room carpet. Oh what MePhone would do to be a cat sometimes. Not having to worry about stupid people things. Not having to be guilty about every other choice he makes.

MePhone just sighed, shaking his head. He was sure it wasn't long until this cat left his life too. He wouldn't be surprised if one of these days it just never came back. Everything in his life did, so what made this cat any different?

He didn't want to think so negatively right now. He was still pulling himself out of a rut, and it was no good if he just fell back in. Thankfully, he was snapped out of his thoughts as the cat moved, rubbing itself against his leg with a meow. MePhone just looked at it with a tired smile.

At least even if it left him, it was still at least being kind in the time it spent here with him.

MePhone was getting distracted. He was out here for a reason. He had put his shoes on and everything. He had to go out and tend to his garden. Yeah! He shook his head, and stood up, his hands idling on his hips as he moved to look for his gloves. He had stuff to do. It was a few days late, but surely his plants were fine. It had been a bit rainy lately anyways, what with it turning to late spring a few days ago according to his phone calendar, so if he didn't have to water anything, he'd make sure nothing was wilting, or dying. Gardening was hard work, but he had decided he'd do it anyways, many years when this routine thing started, because he needed distractions. It was labour, but... At least it made his house look outwardly presentable. He didn't need BallPoint judging him for letting the flowers in his yard die. Then he'd surely think something was up after all this time. Not that MePhone really thought the man truly cared, but knowing him, he'd say something regardless. He really hated how much that old man reminded him of his dad sometimes.

But that wasn't what he was supposed to be thinking about. MePhone sighed again. He was having a hard time keeping his mind on track today. It would be embarrassing if anyone else was around. It was embarrassing enough that the cat was here watching him, even if his struggles were internal, and there was no way of the cat actually knowing he was distracting himself with his thoughts. He found his gloves after a bit of looking, and then he moved to the window to peek out. He couldn't see anyone across the street, or anyone nearby on this side of the street, so now would be a great time to start.

The cat followed him out, plopping itself down on the doorstep, just watching him. As he tended to his garden, his thoughts went away from him again as he worked. He was beginning to wonder if this cat was getting used to him. Something funny he saw online at some point when he still used social media, was something about a 'cat distribution system'. Of course, it was some kind of joke, but... MePhone liked the idea that this cat chose him. Maybe it was also just a little guy searching for companionship. Not... That MePhone needed that. But surely this cat did. Yeah. He wasn't projecting. He was so caught up in his thoughts, until he glanced over to the cat as it sat up and meowed, but not towards him. MePhone's gaze quickly followed where the cat was looking, turning away from his current pruning to see OJ.
