A new start

MePhone 5 saw very little of his sibling these days. The other was always off doing their own things, and frankly, it was frustrating for the older robot of the two. Ever since the little disagreement, it was clear to 5 that their sibling was distancing themself from him. They had even switched where they were sleeping! That was just overkill. They were clearly just sensitive, and it annoyed 5. He would never admit that he missed the company-- because he didn't, really, but... It was colder in the building without them constantly around while he was.

But 5 wasn't going to apologize, or admit they were wrong, because they weren't. If anything, this distance was just reinforcing that fact.

It was also planting the seed in their brain that this was all the blue one's fault. He was turning their sibling away from him, and that was just evil. 5 truly believed that if MePad fell for this idiot's words, that they would end up dead too. 5 didn't understand how they could trust someone who killed their own brother. Someone who was truly awful. Someone their creator had made sure to tell them not to ever talk to. But... Of course MePad had made that mistake. Maybe they were just stupid. Surely they had to be. At least in this regard. 5 couldn't deny his sibling was smart, just... Not with this.

Maybe 5 just needed to talk to them about this. He'd just have to show them some reason next time he ran into the other. Maybe if they had the time, he would do it today.

...

MePhone didn't end up going home that night. After the kiss, the two had a long talk about their feelings, and worries about possibly just jumping into this, but MePhone was able to assure the other he felt ready this time, because well, he did. He did feel ready, and that he wanted this more than anything. This would be good for him.

Through their long talk, they both admitted to not really having much experience with relationships like this, so they'd be figuring this out together.

This would be a big change, but despite that, MePhone really did feel like this was a good one. He had been doing a lot of self improvement, and having OJ as his boyfriend would help him want to continue to be better. To stay better. The two ended up spending the night together, just cuddling on the couch and talking about stuff like who they wanted to tell, and how they were going to do that, and how this was going to change their current dynamic.

MePhone wasn't sure what it meant to date someone who had kids, but OJ assured him he wasn't obligated to do much, because he was already doing enough by being civil and engaging with them when he's over, which was fine how it was, considering OJ had a very active role in his parenting process, and had been doing fine on his own all this time, so none of that needed to change. He did at least volunteer to babysit more if needed... Though this also brought up the topic of who they'd be telling.

MePhone wasn't exactly ready to tell 3gs about this yet, their relationship still feeling a bit awkward and strained, so OJ wasn't going to tell Knife yet either, since those two were a package deal when it came to news. They figured they'd at least have to tell the Cherries, and well, MePhone didn't really care who else knew, not really having many other people in his life, other than Fan, who'd probably find out somehow on his own knowing him, but...

"How are we going to tell your kids?"

"Um... Huh." OJ leaned back a bit, looking away as he thought. "We could tell them over dinner tomorrow?" The ginger shrugged. "That being said, you're free to just come over for dinner whenever now, uhm... If you want," OJ shrugged, extending the offer.

"Well, I'll still ask, it'd feel weird coming over unannounced,"

"Yeah, of course, so uh... Dinner tomorrow then?" OJ grinned, looking at him again. MePhone just let out a small laugh; "Well I figure I should if we're telling your kids,"
