"I could never make you want me
Like I wanted
To be wanted.
I could never really change you
Like I thought that I could.
I was tryna make us something out of nothing.
We were nothing at all.
You can only dig the grave so deep."You can only long for someone so much until it gets to the point that it literally drives you mad.
Nothing that you may possibly do can make someone love you or want you just as much as you do for them.
We tend to end up stuck in these situations, or "situationships" if you must.
Situations where we have feelings for someone, we love them, care for them, and would do anything for them.
But you don't have a label.
There's no girlfriend or boyfriend label to define what you are.
It's merely just a situation with another person, in which you are emotionally attached and bonded to them, but at the same time it is nothing.
Being stuck in a situationship will inevitably do nothing but hurt you.
They will string you along, lead you on, act like the two of you are a thing, like one minute you're someone worthy of their time and you mean something to them , but, the next they act like you're nothing.
You can't save something that's already gone.
You both end up digging each other into this massive grave of emotional turmoil and grief.
You can only try so hard, so many times, with someone before you realize that there's nothing there to fight for and maybe, just maybe, it was all in your head.
