Two of hearts07
___
Sora sat tapping her fingers against the arm of the chair, the click-clack of her painted nails against the wooden arm of the chair was the only thing filling the near-silent room. Across from her sat Nezu, the principal of UA High School. He sat flicking through the papers on his desk, usually, the man was as calm as ever, he rarely ever showed any signs of discomfort or distress but with Sora sitting across from him, looking at him with a stone-cold expression, It almost seemed like he was... Nervous.
"Mrs L/n... please, we can't provide special treatment for your daughter if she manages to pass the entrance exams.." Nezu said, clasping his furry hands together.
Sora continued to look blankly at Nezu, simply raising a brow at his words. He gulped in response, looking back through his paperwork. Sora had always had this effect on people, being able to break down someone's walls with a simple look, especially when the person sitting across from her was aware of the sheer amount of dirt she had on them.
"Nezu. I'm not asking for special treatment." She stated. "I'm demanding extra protection and surveillance when it comes to my daughter. You are to monitor her interactions with other students with the eye of a hawk."
"You should not allow her to partake in certain classes, she will instead use the training facility in the school with a teacher where her progress will be reported back to her father and me."
Nezu sighed, tapping his papers against the desk. "You are in no such position to demand anything."
After a few seconds of silence, Sora spoke. "Are you sure about that?" She said, swapping over her crossed legs. "Because I beg to differ."
The woman reached into her handbag, pulling out a folder with one name plastered on the front.
'UA'
She opened the folder and flicked to a specific page. "UA, the most prestigious school in the country, has been found on several occasions to cover up the sheer amount of student injuries, mental decline and even death." She read from the page, putting on a fake shocked tone. "The school habitually covers up incidents where students are severely injured during training or missions; they prioritise their reputation over the well-being of their students, using their influence to hide these mishaps."
Nezu fell silent, merely looking at Sora with an unreadable expression. "Are you threatening me?"
"A threat? Oh, no of course not." She said sarcastically, closing the folder she was holding. "I'm promising that if my demands are not met to my expectations, I will release everything to the public. the images, the medical records, the police reports and the countless complaints made by the parents and students of the school that you have covered up to maintain your immaculate reputation of pumping out pro heroes."
A thick and suffocating silence fell upon the room, Sora sat in her chair, holding the folder in her lap while Nezu sat, staring blankly at the woman.
"...Anything else?"
"One more thing." Sora hummed, adjusting her position in the chair. "Placement in Elite Programs. I'm requesting my daughter's enrolment in specialised hero programs or internships typically reserved for senior students or renowned heroes, providing invaluable experience and exposure."
Nezu sighed, looking down towards the desk with an emotionless expression.
"..Of course, Mrs L/n."
With that, Sora nodded. She stood from the chair and left the room. A heavy sigh left her chest as she glared at her husband who was leaning against the wall just outside the room.
