Y/n stood in the classroom, gently rubbing Mina's back as she sobbed into her shoulder. The sounds of distress and disappointment echoed in the room, but Y/n tried to offer some comfort.

"It's okay, Mina," Y/n said with a soft laugh, attempting to lighten the mood. "Failing an exam doesn't mean it's the end of the world. You'll get another chance."

Mina sniffled and looked up at Y/n, her eyes red from crying. "But I wanted to do so well... I wanted to prove that I can be a great hero."

"Are you kidding?" Y/n chuckled, placing her hands on Mina's shoulders. "You're already a great hero. All of you are!" She exclaimed, turning to face Kirishima, Kaminari and Sato. "I barely passed myself, so don't be so down."

Kirishima sighed, running a hand through his spiky red hair. "Yeah, but you're, like, super strong and cool. I wanted to prove I could be a manly hero too."

Y/n grinned, nudging him playfully. "Kirishima, you're one of the manliest guys I know. You'll get it next time. And you too, Kaminari and Sato. We can help each other out, study together, and crush it in the next exam!"

She put on a brave face, trying to support her friends, using their encouragement as a way to secretly reassure herself that everything would be okay. Deep down, Y/n couldn't shake the lingering worry and guilt from the recent incident with All Might during the practical exam. Being surrounded by friends who also faced setbacks offered a comforting distraction.

Sato gave a small nod. "Yeah, teamwork makes the dream work, right?"

"That's cheesy, but- yeah!" She snorted.

"You guys are awesome heroes in the making," Y/n continued, her voice carrying genuine enthusiasm. "And hey, failing today doesn't define us. It's just a stepping stone to our future successes!"

Mina wiped away the last of her tears, a smile replacing the previous distress. "Thanks, Y/n. You always know how to lift our spirits."

The door to their classroom slammed open, revealing Aizawa standing with his usual deadpan expression. He scanned the room, his gaze sweeping over the students. "That's the bell. Be seated."

Y/n couldn't help but exchange a quick glance with her friends, suppressing a chuckle. Aizawa's timely entrances were becoming a trademark of their homeroom experience. As the students settled down, preparing for another round of lessons, Y/n couldn't shake the underlying tension that lingered within her. The recent events with her father and the confrontation during the practical exam, along her with the confrontation with Stain, it all still weighed heavily on her mind.

Y/n settled into her seat as a hush settled around the classroom, and Aizawa began his lecture. She tried to focus, but her mind kept drifting back to the recent meeting with the teachers and her father's unexpected appearance.

Aizawa's monotone voice became a background hum as she glanced at her classmates. Mina's eyes still held traces of disappointment, and Kirishima's usually energetic demeanour seemed subdued. Y/n's thoughts swirled with a mix of guilt, anxiety, and determination to make amends.

"Morning. About your final exams... Sadly, we had some failures."

A thick silence settled over the classroom, and Y/n could practically feel the despair radiating from her friends. The lesson dragged on, and Y/n found herself mechanically copying notes without much absorption. Aizawa's quirk-cancelling gaze swept over the class, and Y/n discreetly wiped away a stray tear, hoping nobody noticed. The weight of recent events cast a shadow over her usual enthusiasm for hero studies.
