The classes for the next day were cancelled so Y/n took that opportunity to just chill, despite her father's protests for her to go and train with Endeavour that day.
Y/n lounged comfortably on Midoriya's bed, her legs casually draped over his lap. The room was filled with a relaxed atmosphere, and Midoriya absentmindedly tapped his fingers against her legs while engrossed in their movie marathon.
It had been a while since they'd hung out, and Midoriya had invited Y/n over to catch up. Y/n, making herself at home, brought her laptop along for the occasion. Together, they enjoyed the movie, with occasional pauses for laughter or commentary.
Midoriya's attention shifted between the screen and Y/n's face, finding solace in the easy companionship they shared. Y/n, would occasionally feed him popcorn, the small gestures weaving a comfortable intimacy into their time together.
As the credits rolled, Y/n couldn't help but scoff at the typical superhero movie clichés. "I mean, come on! They don't even consider the real consequences of using those powers," she remarked, shaking her head in mock disbelief.
Midoriya chuckled, accustomed to Y/n's witty commentary. "It's just a movie, Y/n. You're overthinking it," he replied with a playful smile.
Y/n grinned back, "Maybe, but I can't help it— No hero would ever do that!"
Midoriya nodded, recognizing the movie's premise. "Yeah, but it's interesting to explore those 'what if' scenarios, don't you think? Like, what if a hero did go rogue? How would society react?"
Y/n shrugged, taking a moment to ponder the idea. "Sure, it's interesting to think about, but it's not always black and white. Heroes face so much pressure, and sometimes they crack. That doesn't mean they're entirely bad; maybe they just need help."
Midoriya agreed, "True, everyone has their struggles. It's important to understand the reasons behind someone's actions."
Their conversation shifted, delving into hypothetical scenarios about heroes, villains, and the complexities of their world. As they chatted, Y/n occasionally fed Midoriya more popcorn, creating a comfortable and familiar atmosphere between the two friends.
Y/n leaned back, a contemplative expression on her face. "I wonder, though, what would happen if a hero actually went rogue in real life. Like, how would the Hero Commission and other heroes handle it? It's not something you see every day."
Midoriya scratched his head, thinking. "Well, I guess the other heroes would have to step in and try to stop them. And the Hero Commission would probably launch an investigation to figure out why it happened in the first place."
Y/n nodded, "Yeah, but what if the rogue hero is too powerful? What if they've got a quirk that makes it almost impossible to take them down without causing massive collateral damage? It's a tough situation."
The two continued discussing the potential consequences of a rogue hero, their conversation delving deeper into the intricacies of hero society and the challenges faced by those in the profession.
