The taxi sped through the city streets, but Y/n's attention was far from the passing scenery. Her thumbs moved rapidly over her phone's screen, engaged in a conversation that seemed to absorb her completely. Phoenix, seated beside her, continued chatting animatedly about various topics, oblivious to Y/n's distracted state.

"So, have you ever tried those new virtual reality games?" Phoenix asked, glancing at Y/n, who responded with a distracted nod. Her mind, however, was preoccupied with the messages on her phone.

Phoenix continued, undeterred by Y/n's lack of enthusiasm. "They say it feels like you're actually in the game. Can you imagine that? Fighting villains or flying through the sky, all from the comfort of your own home!"

Y/n managed a half-hearted smile, still divided between the taxi ride and the digital conversation unfolding in her hands. Phoenix, noticing the lack of engagement, shifted gears in conversation. "Hey, you seem a bit off. Everything okay?"

Y/n looked up, meeting Phoenix's concerned gaze. "Yeah, just dealing with some stuff," she replied, offering a weak smile. The taxi continued its journey through the city, carrying them toward the unfolding events in Hosu.
