As the homeroom door slid open, Y/n's attention was drawn to Aizawa entering, an air of stern authority following him. "Good morning." He greeted, his face as stoic as ever.

"Now, for today's basic hero training... This time All Might, myself and one other will supervise."

Y/n raised a brow, usually basic hero training would consist of one teacher supervising the entire class so having multiple felt excessive.

"Um, what are we doing exactly?" Sero asked with a raised hand.

Aizawa held up a small board with the word 'rescue' written on it. "Preparing you for disaster relief, from fires to floods."

Y/n felt a subtle knot tighten in her stomach. Rescue training meant dealing with emergency situations, and her quirk, though powerful, carried its own unpredictable nature. The thought of being involved in a fire rescue exercise made her worry. Fire was her domain, yet, in situations like these, it could easily become a double-edged sword.

Y/n couldn't help but mutter under her breath, her mind already spiralling with worries about the potential challenges. "Rescue training, huh? What could possibly go wrong?" She caught a few curious glances from her classmates, but Aizawa's stern gaze settled on her.

As Aizawa continued explaining the details, Y/n's mind raced through potential scenarios. What if she lost control of the flames in a confined space? What if she inadvertently harmed someone in the process? The responsibility of harnessing such a formidable quirk weighed on her, especially in situations where lives were at stake.

"L/n, focus," he said sharply, his eyes narrowing. She bit her lip, realizing she had unintentionally voiced her concerns aloud.

Y/n's attention was caught when he clicked a small remote. Suddenly, their hero costumes emerged from the wall, neatly presented for the upcoming exercises. The sight of her costume added another layer of reality to the training ahead.

She sighed audibly, muttering, "Great, now we're all officially heroes in costume." Aizawa shot her a stern look, and she mumbled a quick apology, redirecting her focus to the impending rescue training. The worries lingered, but she knew she had to face them head-on, especially with Aizawa's watchful eye on her.

"The training site is a bit remote, so we'll be going by bus."

Y/n huffed, she hated busses.

"That's all, get ready."

The rhythmic hum of the bus engine filled the air as it rolled towards the location for their rescue training. Y/n sat by the window, clad in her hero costume, contemplating the upcoming exercises. The sun reflected against the window, blurring her view of the world; it cast a soft orange hue on everything.

Next to her, Todoroki sat with his head leaning against the cold window, fast asleep. His two-toned hair, the stark contrast between fire and ice, seemed almost serene as it framed his face. The gentle rise and fall of his chest matched the soft cadence of his breath.

Y/n couldn't help but glance at him, her eyes lingering on his peaceful expression. In sleep, the intensity that often marked Todoroki's demeanour melted away, revealing a vulnerability that made him seem almost approachable. For a moment, she observed the subtle shift in his features, appreciating the tranquillity that sleep bestowed upon even the most stoic.
