"Right. Looks like Aizawa-Sensei is drawing a large number of them to the plaza..."
Tsuyu, Midoriya and Mineta all stood in the water of the flood zone, planning an escape after managing their own battle.
Midoriya visibly frowned at the sight of Aizawa's struggle in dealing with the villains, he looked overwhelmed but it was obvious he was maintaining his composure when facing the onslaught of villains.
"There's too many of them..." Midoriya said to the duo behind him. "Of course, he's more than holding his own out there, but... It's too much for him. He knew that, but he jumped in to protect us."
Mineta looked visibly confused and concerned. "Eh...? Don't tell me you're that stupid, Midoriya..."
"I'm not saying we should dive right into the fight." Midoriya turned his gaze back towards the plaza. "Just that we watch for an opening and do what we can to lighten Aizawa's load."
"Uhm... I don't think we need to worry about that, Midoriya..." Tsuyu mumbled.
The group turned their heads at a sudden eruption of flames in the distance. A collective gasp escaped their lips as they witnessed a surreal display of fire, creating an ominous cloud of smoke that shrouded the battleground.
The smoke began to clear, revealing Y/n emerging from the chaos, Midoriya, Tsuyu, and Mineta couldn't help but be both astonished and worried. She looked exhausted, her arms shook every time she lifted them. Despite that, she wielded her quirk with practised ease, sending villains flying with calculated movements. The flick of her wrist unleashed a torrent of flames, dispersing the immediate threats around her.
Midoriya was torn between amazement and concern. "Is that Y/n...?" He muttered, watching as her knees buckled with every step she took.
Tsuyu, typically composed, couldn't help but express her surprise, "Ribbit... She's handling those villains like it's nothing."
Mineta, eyes wide, stammered, "W-What's going on?"
As Y/n wiped her face with her sleeve, exhaustion etched across her features, Midoriya couldn't shake the feeling of awe mixed with worry. The intense display of power left a lingering impact on the trio, making them question the true extent of Y/n's abilities and the circumstances that had led to her unleashing them with such fervour.
"Y/n's quirk is incredible, but this seems... different."
As the adrenaline of the battle began to wane, Y/n found herself beyond exhausted. Her breaths were heavy, and every muscle in her body ached. She looked down at her hands, the very tools that had manipulated fire and dispatched villains just moments ago. They were marred with burns, cuts, and scuffs—a visual testament to the intensity of the fight.
In the quiet moments that followed, Y/n's mind raced. The sick joy she experienced in the midst of violence replayed in her memory, and a wave of self-disgust washed over her. "What... was that?" she questioned herself, the conflicting emotions churning within.
