⚠️ Warnings - SMUT BABYYYY

-

Hee Joon's POV-

Standing in front of the mirror in my bathroom, I reluctantly take one final look over my reflection.

It was even obvious to me how disheveled I had begun to look, but I still pulled myself together as best I could manage.

Turning the sink faucet on, I lean down to splash some cold water on my face before shutting my eyes to take in a calming breath.

Everything in my body had already begun to feel unbearably heavy since Min Ho's murder, but with each passing day without any lead on Moon Jo's whereabouts, it only felt as if more and more weight was being added to my shoulders.

All of it was enough to bring me to my knees, but the anger that possessed me was the only thing left to keep me standing...

Yet I still wished for nothing more than to succumb to the guilt I felt twisting in my gut once all of this was over.

"Hee Joon," I hear Jia call out, now slowly opening my eyes.
"We need to go!"

Pulling myself to stand tall once again, I ignore my reflection and turn to leave the bathroom, now walking into the living room to see Jia pouring some coffee into her tumbler cup.

"Are you ready?" She asks, setting down the coffee pot and closing the lid to her cup.

I can only bring myself to nod as I walk towards the coat rack by the front door, grabbing my jacket and placing it on.

Heading Jia sigh, she zips up her coat which she already had on and grabs her cup, now walking over towards me.

We both then silently put on our shoes before I stood to grab my car keys, now opening the front door for her to step out first.

"Thanks." I heard her speak, her voice already beginning to waver as she stands up and steps outside.

Now finding a spot to park, I look out through the windshield to the building in front of us.

"I can't do this..." I hear Jia mumble, seeing her being her hand up to her lips as she sucks in a shaky breath...

Yet I could only keep my eyes locked on the funeral home in front of us.

"Tell me this isn't happening..." She continues, now bringing both her hands up to wipe away her building tears.

"Is he in there?" She asks, now bringing her hands down and looking over towards me.

Taking in a deep breath, I pull my keys out of the ignition and force myself to nod.

"Oh god..." I hear her whisper under her breath, now unbuckling her seat belt.

"What have they done so far?" She continues, sniffling as she tries her best to pull herself together.

"The autopsy is finished." I finally speak, now looking over towards her.
"All that's left is to decide what you want for him."

Jia then nods her head, looking back at the building before opening her side door.

I reluctantly follow along with her actions, both of us now stepping out of the car and shutting the doors before walking towards the building.

Jia then steps closer towards me, wrapping one of her arms around mine to steady herself as we now walk through the door to the building.
