A Few Days Later: April 26, 2023: On Hoenn Island

“Hey, Gardevoir? Do you want to walk the trails in the local park?” Charlie asked.

“Sure!” Gardevoir responded.

So off Charlie and Gardevoir went, to the Shilby Village Park to walk the trails.

While walking a trail, they watched a little boy of about six years, fly a kite with his grandmother watching him.

As he was flying the kite, however, The kite got stuck at the top of a twenty-five-foot tall tree.

“Grandma, can you get my kite for me please?” the boy asked in a sweet voice.

“No, honey, I’m seventy-eight years old, I definitely can’t climb trees anymore.” responded the grandmother in an apologetic voice.

“I could climb the tree for you!” Charlie said.

“Really?” the boy asked

“Of course!” Charlie said.

So Charlie made his way up the tree.

But when he was about nine feet up, the branch broke.

“Darn, these branches are too brittle!” Charlie exclaimed.

“I’ve got this!” said Gardevoir.

Gardevoir changed size until she was also twenty-five feet tall, the same size as the tree.

As she was grabbing the kite, however, the grandmother screamed.

“I knew they would come!” the grandmother yelled.

The boy, Charlie, and Gardevoir looked in worry as the grandmother clutched her chest and collapsed to the ground.

“I can’t lift her and she needs to get to the hospital!” exclaimed Charlie.

“I’ve got this!” Gardevoir said as she picked her up.

She then grew to a total of fifty feet tall.

“The longer my legs, the faster I can run!” Gardevoir explained.

She then ran as fast as she could to the nearest hospital, seven miles away.

Back on the trail, Charlie told the boy to follow him to his house so he could give the boy a ride to the hospital on his bicycle.

As the boy rode on the handlebars, Charlie pedaled as fast as possible.

They got there in about fifteen minutes. They told the receptionist who there were there to see, and they got the room number she was in.

They walked in when the doctor was there.

“She’s going to live. Had your Gardevoir got here even fifteen minutes later, we would have lost her. You’ve got a good Pokemon.” the doctor said as he pointed to the now normal-sized Gardevoir in the corner of the room.

Gardevoir beamed.

“She’s the only ‘parent’ I have. Thank you so much!” the boy said. He ran over to Gardevoir and hugged her tight.

“You’re welcome, I couldn’t just let her lay there and die!” Gardevoir said with the boy still wrapped around her.

“Well, boys, other than the little one, you’ve gotta go for right now, after a few days, you can come to visit.” the doctor said.

“Let’s go get lunch,” Charlie said.

“Okay.” Gardevoir said.

So they left the hospital and went to the local cafe to eat.
