A Day Later: May 5, 2023: On Hoenn Island

Charlie and Gardevoir were sitting in the living room, watching Channel Two when they heard a knock on the door.

“I’ve got it!” Gardevoir said.

Gardevoir walked across the house and answered the door.

“Hey, Gardevoir! Mind if I come in?” Wyatt asked when she opened the door.

“Sure! We’re just watching the television.” Gardevoir answered.

“Hey, Wyatt! How’s it going?” Charlie asked when Wyatt and Gardevoir walked into the room.

“Not too bad, how ‘bout you?” answered Wyatt.

“Not too bad, myself,” Charlie said.

Charlie then got up and turned off the television.

“So, what brings you here today?” Charlie asked

“Partly so we could just talk about random things, and partly because I want a rematch in that dice game. I lost by only a couple of points last time!” Wyatt said.

“Alright! Let’s do both at the same time.” Charlie said.

“Gardevoir, do you wanna play? Or are you afraid you’ll lose as badly as you did last time?” Wyatt said with a grin on his face.

“Oh, now you’ve challenged me! It’s on!” Gardevoir said, also with a grin on her face.

The three of them were laughing and talking and having fun when they heard another knock on the door.

“Well, who could that be?” Charlie asked nobody in particular

“I’ll get it. I love to answer doors!” Gardevoir said.

Gardevoir went and answered the door. On the other side of the door, was Mew.

“Mew! Come on in!” Gardevoir said.

They walked, well, Gardevoir walked, Mew floated, to the living room.

“Mew! Wow, you are better in person!” Wyatt said.

“Hello, Charlie! Hey, Wyatt!” Mew said.

“Hello, are you doing all right?” Charlie asked

“How do you know my name?” Wyatt asked

“Wyatt, you asked Mew that? She knows a lot!” Gardevoir said.

“Well, to answer Charlie, I’m doing just fine, hope you are doing well. And to answer Wyatt, I’ve seen you and Charlie together and having fun before, I have heard your name many times.” Mew said.

“Well, I have something to talk to you about.” Gardevoir said to Mew.

“Alright, let’s hear it,” Mew said.

“So, I had this bad dream, and I got really mad at Charlie, so I brought him outside, and I grew to twenty feet tall, and I gripped him so hard that I felt him go limp in my hand. But I was so mad that I didn’t care. I woke up and I was so scared.” Gardevoir explained starting to get worked up.

“Well, this is what I forgot to tell you. If you are angry in a dream, and you grow, you grow in real life. And unlike having worry and anxiety making you grow in the real world, you can’t do anything about it. Man, I knew there was something I forgot to tell y’all when I left last time.” Mew explained, facepalming at her own forgetfulness.

“Well, at least it’s not my fault.” Gardevoir said, calming down again.

“I see you are playing my favorite game, mind if I join in?” Mew asked.

“Sure, we just finished a game. You can join in the new one we’re about to begin.” Charlie said.

They all had fun for about two hours before Mew said she had to be off.

“Sorry to bolt like this, but I promised somebody I would come to talk to them today,” Mew said.

“Goodbye!” Charlie said

“Come again soon!” Gardevoir said.

“Happy to be able to meet you!” Wyatt said.

“Bye!” Mew said. Then she flew out the door.

“Well, that was fun and interesting. I hope you don’t have any more dreams like that, Gardevoir!” Wyatt said

“Me, too!” Gardevoir agreed.

“I gotta get going, I promised my mom I would meet her at a restaurant,” Wyatt said

“Bye man!” Charlie said

“See you later!” Gardevoir said.

“Goodbye! I’ll visit soon!” Wyatt said. Then he walked out the door.

“Well, that was interesting!” Gardevoir said.

“That was interesting, indeed.” Charlie agreed.
