Six Days Later: June 5, 2023: Ten Minutes Before Kanto Island, Over The Insular Sea
Charlie and Gardevoir were on a plane to Kanto to take a vacation. At least, that’s all Gardevoir was told. If you’ve been paying attention, you would know the real reason why they are flying to Kanto.
“Why are we flying to Kanto again?” Gardevoir asked,
“Well, I figured we could vacation the rest of today, tomorrow, and the day after.” Charlie said
Just then a voice came over the intercom
“The captain has turned on the seat belt signs. We’ll be landing shortly.” the voice said.
So Charlie and Gardevoir put on their seatbelts.
“I can’t wait to see Kanto’s beaches! I heard they are the best of them all!” Gardevoir said.
“Yeah. I heard they have the best beaches too! But first, we have to find our hotel when we land. We are on the seventh floor of the Thrilty Hotel. Room number 723.” Charlie said
“Okay.” Gardevoir said with a smile on her face.
Just then, the voice came over the intercom again.
“We are landing now. Please keep your seat belts on until the seat belt sign is off and we tell you to do so.”
“Ooh, I just can’t wait!” Gardevoir said.
“Imagine her excitement if I told her the real reason we came to Kanto!” Charlie thought.
Just then, they could feel the airplane’s wheels hit the tarmac. A few seconds later the voice came over the intercom again.
“The captain has turned the seatbelt sign off. You may now exit the plane. I hope you had a great flight on Kanto-Hoenn Airways! Fly again with us soon!”
So Charlie and Gardevoir exited the plane, grabbed their bags, and left the airport.
“Okay, first things first. Gotta get to our hotel room. Let’s see here. Thrilty Hotel. Room 723. Good thing we only have .7 of a mile to walk, right?” Charlie said.
“Yeah. Not too far. But what about the beaches? How close are they to the hotel?” Gardevoir asked
“Only about .2 a mile from the Thrilby Hotel.” Charlie said
As they were talking, they were walking, (they’re great multitaskers that way), and they were passing other hotels and parts of beaches.
“They were right! Kanto’s beaches are the most beautiful! I’ve only caught glimpses of them so far and I already think they are the best!” Gardevoir said.
“I’m glad you’re happy so far!” Charlie said smiling
“Oh I’m surprised I haven’t accidentally grown yet!” Gardevoir said,
“Yeah, me too!” Charlie chuckled
It was about then that they made it to the Thrilty Hotel. It was eight stories high, had free breakfast from six to eleven in the morning, had a pair of swimming pools, six hot tubs, a lazy river, and had working elevators. Now that last bit may seem obvious to you or me because we have been to hotels with elevators in them, (unless it’s like a small one or two-story motel, but that’s not what I mean here.), however, Charlie and Gardevoir had never been in any building that was more than two stories tall, and that was their house. (And since it’s a house, it doesn’t have elevators.), So they had never been in an elevator before. So reasonably, they were both excited about the elevators.
